Ray Rice Jersey Exchange (Friday 9/19 and Saturday 9/20)

100 posts in this topic

What about the Super Bowl posters? Are they gonne reissue new posters without him on it? Or should we use white out?

Also, the Ray Rice framed pictures we bought, can we swap them out?

If you are serious call the stadium store in the am about the pictures.

This is a message to Ray Rice.

Ray, look around at all the people you have touched in a negative way. There is only one way to go from here, up.

Of course that depends on you. I am hoping you have started championing a new cause to prevent Abuse of Women. Spend your time and money championing this cause and your life will change for the better.

Whoever created this exchange your jersey day is not a true raven fan.  They don't deserve to be a fan and they don't deserve to have the jersey in the first place.  Ray Rice made mistakes.  No one is lining up to take their Steelers quarterback jersey back.  This entire thing is ridiculous and yes, I am a female.  If Rice has a problem that is consistent, then it is a bigger issue.  However, we saw a punch when he was drunk and while that is no excuse, he does not deserve this kind of reaction.  He made a mistake and is getting help.  Why can't anyone give him a break?  Has anyone ever made a mistake they regret?  You self absorbed people make me sick.  Then he is cut from the team?  Why is the Steelers quarterback still playing?  Rice was there when we went to the Superbowl and big Ray was there to guide him but now I am sure he is a little lost in the sauce.  Have you ever been lost in the sauce?  Yes.  You all purple passion fever tailgating maniacs have been and I am quite sure you would like to take some things back that you did.  Give me a break.  No one is perfect!

I was able to exchange mine, got there about 10:30 & was there almost 2hrs. They did have people checking to see if it was a fake and they were pretty careful. If it was real, you got a voucher for a jersey. If it was fake, you got a voucher for something off the "free gift" table, which actually had some nice stuff. I thought it was pretty cool for them to give a gift anyway, especially after standing in line so long. Surprised they haven't canceled for tomorrow though, there wasn't much left when I was there.

Gifts and your new jersey.  You act like it is Christmas and really, you are just getting your free new jersey at the expense of someones mistake that you are using your way to something new.  I am glad you had to wait for 2hrs.  You didn't deserve the jersey in the first place.  If you remember,  Ray Rice helped us get somewhere and make the finals.  You are not a true fan.  Are you perfect?  Ever made a mistake you wish you could take back?  The Steelers quarterback is still playing and I don't see you in line to say that is wrong.  And we all know what he did multiple times!

It didn't feel right turning in my jersey, Ray Rice was pretty clutch for the Ravens over they years.  4th and long against San Diego?  Season saving play right there.  I obviously don't agree with what Ray did but I got a lot of mileage out of it and didn't want to help wipe out Ray's contributions over the years.  I'm also not blasting anyone for trading their jersey's in, those things aren't cheap!  Go Ravens!

You have your reasons for keeping yours, I have my reasons for exchanging mine. While I appreciate what he did for my team, for my own personal reasons, I am no longer comfortable wearing his jersey. The Ravens as an organization recognized that some people may feel that way and gave fans an OPTION. And you standing here in judgement of me and the thousands of other TRUE FANS that opted to exchange theirs too makes you guilty of the same thing you are condemning us for - passing judgement on others!

The point of my post was not to cheer about my brand spankin' new jersey (which, by the way much less expensive than the one I turned in - I did not make out like it was "Christmas"), but to let others who wanted to exchange theirs know what to expect when they got there.

The next time you decide to judge someone...take a good hard look in the mirror first.

Why is it tough for people to either hand in their jerseys or not, and just leave the choice at that?

Just got back from getting my exchange jersey. Rather bummed, they should have named it a jersey downgrade. If i had known they would have a very limited number of jerseys, few choices of players and that the jerseys would not be of equivalent quality i would have kept my old 27, thank you very much.

Took you a month to get back?

Depending upon the jersey you exchanged....  The Nike jersey's are a much different type of material as compared to the Reebok.  My daughter traded a Nike for a Nike.  They did have an exorbitant number of jerseys exchanged, and there was a bit of holdover while trying to get the jersey that one might want....  patience is the key, I think, if you want a specific player.  I think it was pretty sweet that they were willing to do it, personally.
