[News] Ravens Awarded Defensive Tackle Christo Bilukidi Off Waivers

I have DTV and saw the Bucs game! I didn't see Rainey look that bad and Lenny Moore fumbled occasionally and is in the Hall of Fame!

Meanwhile, Bernard Pierce has still got to prove that he's not soft or brittle,... injury prone!

Hey Mystigo I am getting DTV today because the NFL Sunday Ticket Max was thrown in free for signing up. How do you like DTV so far?

Hey, hey... I get that you're a Rainey-fan and grab every opportunity to make it look like it was a bad decision to let him go - but you shouldn't neglect reality. You said Rainey was so good in the pre-season - turned out he was more than bad, yielding about 2 YPC. Now he's average at best in the first game, you don't thnik he was bad...

My advice is still the same: consult the statistics. They don't lie - and they'll reveal you how Rainey sunk like a rock in water after a good start in Tampa, being a worse-than-average RB by the end of the season - and how he was anything but convincing this pre-season.

And there's something I don't get: you're a Ravens fan. Wouldn't it be better for you, if you finally admitted the obvious, that it's been proved the right decision to let him go? Why do you keep insisting, despite the stats, that it was a mistake to let him go? Why is it better for you, a Ravens fan, to insist the Ravens made a mistake than being happy that they made the right decision?

Why are we still talking about Rainey? He's looonnngggggg gone. I also saw someone talking about Boldin on here yesterday. Please help me understand the reason for continually bringing people who are long gone and not coming back!

Was hoping it was C Brown who was cut to make room for a real NFL player. :(

Gotta say "AMEN" to that!

He's gonna cost us again, down the line! His technique has been terrible ever since he got here!

It's OUTSTANDING! Especially the NFL Package! That's how I got to watch Q, Rainey and other ex-Ravens!

I think we need a running back, bad. And soon. LeMicheal James would do for starters.

Well... 3 fumbles in 42 attmepts... that's 1 fumble in every 14 attempts. Pierce, who suddenly became a fumble machine in a lot of fans eyes, had his FIRST fumble in 266 carries. That's 1 fumble every 266 carries...

Also, Pierce has 3 career TD's, James has 0.

James wanted out of SF because nameless and unproven RB's overtook him on the depth chart. If that's not a red flag, I don't know what is.

Pierce will be fine. One fumble, however it hurt us on Sunday (it didn't: that fumble yielded a FG, and we lost by 7 points...), won't make him suddenly a worse RB he was.

Not saying one way or another that it was a bad idea but the kid is doing some good things down there! As for "sinking like a rock",... well, let's just see once he gets his "NFL Legs" under him!

BTW, didn't Q look good against Dallas the other night?

Maybe you should try that logic to convince Harbs, Bio,... :lol3:

Mark my words, if Ozzie doesn't pull the trigger on a deal, then Lorenzo Taliferro will be the #2 or perhaps #1 Back before the season's out! :oldwiseman:

I guess it's kinda hard to look bad when you only get four carries, unless you fumble once within those four carries...

Yes, cut one of three healthy cornerbacks...

"Healthy" trumps "penalty-prone"? Let's keep him! Let's let him assist Pittsburgh's momentum marching down the field!

Nope, I say REPLACE !!!

You're not going to reason with him. He's going to look at those Atlanta and Buffalo games and somehow equate that to being a really good running back, and that somehow Rainey will be the savior in Tampa Bay.

None of you would have noticed him if he hadn't allowed that long touchdown to AJ Green. No one even notices that Asa Jackson allowed the same number of completions and a far higher completion percentage.

I suppose you have this amazing plan for what do about getting another third cornerback

Bernard Pierce does not have the skill set that a premier Running Back has!

Forsett will help us bridge the gap until we

Pierce is an extremely good one cut runner who displays good vision and has the ability to break tackles. Sunday he just didn't seem decisive, as if something was on his mind. He danced around a lot and was going too east-west, instead of north-south. No, he's certainly got a good skill set, just didn't have his best day.

Who? Does anyone know what Ngata's plans for the future are? He can't play anymore. His contract is killing us.

I agree and disagree with you. He's not as good as his contract but he's still pretty darned good. Expect one of three paths, 1. Retires (Ray Lewis Route), 2. He extends his contract at a lower rate and brings his cap# down (Suggs route), 3. We cut him and he plays elsewhere (similar to Ed Reed route).

I have not lost total faith in Bernard Pierce! I just think he lacks the endurance and toughness of a #1 Runningback

I'd like him to prove me wrong; to be more reliable, all of us would, especially his teammates!

I don't know about the others you're referring to but I've been saying ever since last year's pre-season that he's not a good cover guy!

That Chykie Brown doesn't turn his hips to find the ball! He "shields Receivers causing Pass Interference calls and that any team who needs a First Down will target him! He's a liability in the Secondary and only here because Ozzie likes to "Bargain Basement" hunt, that we're banged up and lack cornerback depth!

He's the easy scapegoat. Again, no one talks about Asa allowing the same number of completions or allowing a higher completion percentage, despite lining up in the slot where he never faced AJ Green. No one talks about how late Darian Stewart was to provide safety help over the top or how he danced around before just getting run by.

Sure, Chykie Brown isn't that good, but he's getting too much flack where others are not.

I'll be honest with ya! I've seen Jimmy Smith and even Ed Reed do the same thing, so there's no saying with some it never happens! But Chykie ALWAYS covers like that, never finding the ball and is no where near the athlete that Asa Jackson is!

Mark my words,... Joe isn't used to running the Kubiak-style offense and accumulating the points (early on) as say Shaub was so we cannot afford to let Chykie put teams in scoring position against us!

No really worth it to worry about Rainey's stats; he ain't a Raven anymore!! I like WATCHING him run just like I like watching Kruger bust up plays and Q catch passes !!!

If we really want to debate a hot topic, let's debate whether Joe has gone back to his old habits in the face of a 62 pass attempt game? I say, YES,... what happened to that footwork he practiced to do his reads quickly? By the mid Second Quarter it looked like the same ol Joe to me! Whaddya think? O-line, right?

It's a completely new offense that he has never played in. The Ravens got away from running the ball and almost exclusively went pass heavy. Not to mention the drops. I'd be worried after week three or four

I saw that! Somebody in the organization goes into "Panic Mode" the moment we get behind because 15 ain't enough points to dump the whole game plan and go airborne!

Very few screens, no throws in "juice's" or Marlon Brown's direction, not the foot movements he was supposed to be practicing since OTAs! Just the Same ol Slo-release Joe!

It's too early to make a judgment on the new offensive scheme but if Joe's going to panic and start doing his Statue-in-the-pocket thing, throwing all over the place then 9-7, and maybe a good RB in the Draft!

The Bengals just kinda knew what was going to happen. The Ravens didn't really run the ball, threw primarily short routes, and made Steve Smith and Dennis Pitta their primary targets. It was incredibly easy to just sit on those routes. The offense became much more efficient once Forsett got going, Flacco took some deep shots, and the receivers started holding onto the ball.

I'm all for Todd Gurley
