Potential Trades at the Wide Receiver position?

Depth means nothing if your top guys aren't any good.

I think it's going a bit to far to say that our top receivers aren't any good especially so early in the season. This is not madden these guys got to jell with each other and learn a new offensive system. Things like this just don't happen over nite and it takes time

I agree. I believe our top guys are pretty good and our rotation is strong. The Smiths are pretty good in my book. Sr. had some drops but it's not what I expect from him and he still made a play. Torrey has improved every year and I think he'll have his best year. It's our first game and we had some drops. Duely noted and if it continues I'll freak but for now it looked like a new offense finding itself. What I really liked was that I saw the system working and open receivers. I'm not used to that.

Torrey needs to step it up and play like a WR1, especially if he wants to get paid. If he does, it makes every other WR/TE much better and effective...and the offense more dynamic and explosive. IMO, it's all about #82

I was just making a point.  Torrey isn't enough.  He makes occasional big plays but no receivers on this team regularly get open.  It's a struggle watching them fighting and clawing just to get a couple inches of space to where Flacco can throw the ball to.

Fair enough. I probably didn't explain myself too well but outside of a FS, I don't see any one player putting us over the edge this season. I'd rather play it out with what we have, good or bad, and not risk future prospects when we could realistically draft high and make better use of that pick. That's all. I don't think Dwayne Bowe will solve our issues on offense. I don't see him being the difference between us making the playoffs or not.

Understandable, but we could trade for someone who has a few years left on their contract without being too pricey.  This is something I am hopeful for.

Our receivers are fine...

No, we could trade a 5th and Jakobee for Calvin, and then trade a 3rd and Shockey Brawn for Earl Thomas because Web will be back anyway.  Maybe try and offer a 4th for Patrick Peterson for depth.  You know everyone's been crazy since we got rid of Bowlden, but I personally think we should just let our guys play.

If Pierce some how starts to look like starting franchise running back then we may not need to draft a running back high

Health and now he's fumbling.  He's going to get another shot, if LT doesn't take it from it.

If we had one more wide receiver that can gain seperation we would look awesome. Flacco would always be in rhythm

I don't know about all of that. Flacco's fundamentals were so bad on Sun that I don't think it would have mattered. His footwork, especially in the WCO, needs to be in sync or he will never be accurate. He had plays where both of his feet were pointing at the LOS. He can't just make arm throws in this system. And he's been around long enough to know that. All we heard all offseason was how great his footwork was. Well, after the first game I would have to disagree.

I would replace Jacoby with Aiken as #3. And I think Campanaro should be used for kick returns.

I would replace Jacoby with Deonte for kick and punt returns. I would leave Jacboy in on WR at the #3 spot but alternate in Aiken, Deonte, and Camp in there occassionally. I would only use Marlon Brown in the redzone he's having an awfully quiet offseason.

I don't think we need new recievers but if some of the top guys aren't getting it done then sit them in exchange for Aiken and Camp.

Take away drops by someone who typically doesnt drop passes and the WRs played fine.

some of his drops were just stupid, one he took his eye of it to look upfield before it hit his hands. Likley forcing it a bit on debut. There are fixable. Im not concerned. Id be more concerned about smiths inability to get open constantly
