All it means is we need to beat them in Cincy....Division games carry a ton of weight, so its a good thing we play everyone twice...Yesterday i hated watching us lose in the fashion we did,but its a marathon not a sprint, so is it Thursday yet???

Jowend...the problem is they don't HAVE much time to get everything together. That Steelers game is vital!! A loss puts us in one hell of a hole---starting 0-2 with 2 home division losses is about as bad as it gets!! In my gut I really believe the team will rise to the occasion but there needs to be 60 FULL minutes of intensity!! They slept-walked through the entire first-half yesterday---if we have the same kind of lapses in this game we're screwed!!

have to wonder if cam cameron was ever the problem. this offense is so slow to get things going with whoever is calling the plays.

Don't know about anybody else, but I was encouraged by what I saw in the offensive line. Only 2 sacks all day and opened holes for the running game, and this against one of the best defenses in the league. Just a matter of a short while before everything comes together

And that, to me, is probably the most frustrating thing about this game. Last season, us fans had plenty of built in "crutches" to lean on to come up with an excuse for why the offense was so bad. It was either poor offensive line play, poor play calling, injuries/lack of weapons, etc.

Frankly, yesterday, none of that was the case. In my opinion, quite simply, yesterday the offense sucked because of a complete lack of execution. The offensive line did fine, there was time to throw and there was room to run. Receivers dropped balls, ran wrong routes, miscommunicated with their QB, and Flacco wasn't that accurate and made some terrible decisions.

That's an execution problem. Its not a gameplan problem, its not an injury problem, its not a lack of talent problem. Its simply an execution problem.

There is no crutch today. Its both the best and worst kind of losses. Its the best kind of loss because you know its 100% on you. All each one of those players had to do was play better, and they know that. Its also the worst kind of loss, because you KNOW you can and probably would have beat that team if you just executed your job a little better.

Does that warrant concern going forward? I'm not sure, but my gut says no. In the grand scheme of things, Cincinnati is a good team, well-rounded, and are a tough team to beat in any given week. Yesterday, we didn't beat them. Does that mean we will lose to everybody we play? Of course not.

But for the fans... its at least an eye-opener and a reminder that there is resistance on the other side of the field, and there's no such thing as a "guaranteed" win in this league.

this game was for a first game i enjoyed watching this game. 1st its just football. 2 its only one game. 3 joe flacco should not let any of his mistake go to his head from this game nd flacco gotta learn how to control his expoliotness for that hunger 4 dem wins he should of step on the field confident. dont let the money go to his head so what people say he doesnt deserve its already done he should be playin like he never had the money so the fans wont be booing.nd yes there defense played 10x harder then our d but our d did a great job we just need to score we gotta plan on winning this next game nd try lead the division so the ravens wont look or feel like last year.

My own opinion is that the player agreement has diminished performance by limiting practice necessary to ready a team. And it severely punishes any team during rebuilding in lack of time for new players to gel. Play improves during the season barring injuries but is this what we're paying for? NFL has a conundrum on their hands. Would like to see more voluntary practice during off-season to compensate but that would require dedicated players.

Would love to see Raven's second round draft pick out of Florida State, Terrence Brooks, start against Pittsburgh just like Elam last year as he became starter beginning with the second game of the season taking over for veteran ???? what was his name from Oakland. Veteran safety from St. Louis, Stewart, wasn't anywhere near the play when Dalton went deep to Green. Green should have been lit up as he was gathering in that bobbled pass, or the ball could have been easily picked if he was where he should have been in support of the corner against Cincinnati's top receiver. Just a thought. Again, would love to see #22 Terrence Brooks start against Steelers.

I am most concerned about Joe's ability to read, recognize and adjust to where the defensive pressure is most likely coming from. Come on, two sacks from the same right side by the same player? Reminded me of when Polamalu came untouched and forced a fumble off Flacco.

I agree!

I was perplexed as to why he didn't have TE Daniels go in motion from the left to right after the first sack near the end of the game! I'm used to Flacco going "Old Joe" in critical situations as if he has a "mind lock"!

We have plenty of time to correct some issues that appeared yesterday but one glaring issue was the Receivers and Joe's inability to "get on the same page" in tight situations when a play is required to maintain a drive!
