[News] Game Recap: Bengals 23, Ravens 16

Them Cb's man really let us down when we needed it. Ladarius Web would of been nice this game. How is his back that messed up he's been out for over a month. can't hate on Smith/Elam/Stewart they were playing there hearts out. Wagner missed a key block when we COULDNT let Flacco get sacked, even Marshal Yanda noticed it and Wagner failed to make a play. Flacco a couple bad play's and the WR core slacking in the early game bringing in catch's that are catch able. Going to love getting stomped by the Steelers thursday night. Then there goes our playoff contendency, looks like a bad year so far. But there might be a slim chance of hope if we turn it up a bit and not play stupid.

The defense looked confused in the first half, almost a great come back, now lets not dwell on the game and focus on Pittsburgh.

The o was out of rhythm for the first half. Too many dropped passes, Perice pooped the bed on his starting rb shot. The d played okay, suggs doom and ngata did nothing all game. How was Aj green not bracketed after we finally got the lead. That's two years in a row now he burned us after we took the lead. Lucky it is a short week so a quick turn around to get things shorted out. Also how does a stadium run out of 6.50$ dollar waters in September ?

So many things went wrong in this game. If it wasn't our wr's dropping passes it was Flacco being Wacko. Harbaugh finally made the right decision benching Pierce. I coulda told him that over the preseason. Pierce is a very cool and humble guy but he just doesn't bring it as a RB. Forsett came in an put on a show in front of everyone. If Harbaugh doesn't change the line up to #1 Rice #2 Forsett & Taliaferro then he clearly has a problem. I still cant believe how many passes our guys dropped.

Of course the game would ultimately be decided by Chykie Brown getting abuse. Can't believe in that situation you have him cover AJ Green with a single high Safety. Pees got out coached. Defense did not seem prepared. Players were talking and pointing as the ball was being snapped. I lot of misdirection, screens, bubble routes.# On Offense Too many dropped balls and they did not stick with the run game. Receiver not reading coverage. O-line played fairly well. Thursday is huge. 0-2 is bad , 0-2 at home worst,0-2 in the division, and the whole season is an uphill battle. OZ get a CB, Chykie is terrible.

Now that I've said the negs about us, here are the upsides. CJ Mosley is a beast. I love this guy already. It's nothing better than a guy that comes in a gives it everything he has straight out of the gate. And Matt Elam has improved on his tackling, he's still not wrapping up but at least his "shoulder bumps" have gotten harder.

And who the hell thought it was a bright idea to start Darian Stewart. Ed Reed would be a better fit than him. You mean to tell me that our staff opted to give this guy the the spot than giving Ed the opportunity to retire a Raven SMH.

Great **2nd Half Effort** Ravens (however comma) the play that ended the 1st half did it for me. THis gave a clear indicator that our beloved QB lacked some some serious situational awareness to the extreme. MOre so, love me some Smitty Sr (BUt) you dropped toooooooo many passes my friend which all had game changing potential. The last play (or two) to end the game did not beat us, but rather our **inabilities** throughout the 1st half did. On a brighter note, kudos to Forsett, the O-Line, CJ Mosley and a few others for a solid performance.

P., 1-Flacco DOES NOT need to be throwing 60 times

2-Bernard Pierce.......*no comment*

3-Flacco you have to begin making better reads, considering your experience my friend.

I have not been to a Ravens home game in 5 years. $6.50 for a bottle of water? Seriously? Jeez!

I know it looked like cover 3 so we weren't in man defense, but why wasn't jimmy on AJ's side of the field? Why expose Brown to AJ Greed like that?

Really a disappointing game and performance . Poor offensive start and no sacks or turnovers by the D . Why a timeout was not called with 32 sec left in the half is beyond me . Chykie Brown on AC green ; a surprise with game on the line . We were outplayed and out coached . Hope we can turn it around quickly for another big game Thurs against the always tough Steelers .

Dude, your really gonna blame that loss on Chykie. All those dropped passes on our offense and Flacco making poor throws.. your gonna roast Chykie Brown tho?? Our secondary held up well when you think of the fact that we didn't have Webb and are trying to find a safety to line up alongside Elam.

Purely pathetic play all around!! Best part of the game was walking out of the oven of a stadium. Looks like Ray Lewis was what kept the team playing well!! Never thought I'd say this.. But at least we still have the O's!!!!

I agree we must move on. But that's easier said than done after the performance today. There were some good spots throughout the game but it was definitely one not to be remembered. And at this point I absolutely despise the Bengals..

Too many things went wrong! Flacco & the offense started off horrible, receivers dropping balls, fumbles, no defensive pressure on the qb what so ever, we trailed most of the game so couldnt get the carries we wanted in the run game then dean pees putting brown on A.J. with no help on top was absolutely stupid just way too many mental errors. Defense played solid with not that much help from our offense to keep a drive going early on but I'm getting real tired of Dean Pees & his "bend but don't break" style of defense, we got no pressure on the qb at ALL & who puts brown on A.J. Green alone smh. We're THE RAVENS, we need to go back to making offenses fear us.

The theme was too familiar and was so reminiscent of last year ... offense atrocious out of the gate, the D - not stellar, but keeping us in the game. 2nd half, offense springs to life, ultimately gives us a lead and the defense instantly gives it back at the very end.

Let's hope it isn't a continuing trend.

Yep, I was at the redskins first preseason (only because I got free tickets) game and the prices for drinks and food are crazy.

It's all about making money though. By any means necessary.

My honest Opinion, Terrible game by Us. The only Highlights that i see are Justin Forsett (BEAST) and Steve Smith(BEAST). Very bad passing game, Didnt like the ravens at all, Couple good plays but, we have one of the best Coaching staffs in the game, I expected more. Well i'll give my team support, but they need to execute. There's really no time, Work hard, Play hard.

L Webb better be Back for Thursday, if hes still out.... I want to see TERRANCE BROOKS GET ACTION at both CB and FS.... Keep Chykie Brown far away from no.1 and 2 WRS!!!

Our Secondary sucks... Besides Jimmy and Webb!!!!! Give Brooks his shot, Stewart is a bum....

And I never want to see Chykie on a no.1 or 2 WR again

To have 420 yards in total offense and only 16 points to show for it ... very disappointing.

So sad that Steve Smith had the potential to give us a signature moment and game winning play, only to have us with a back-up CB on one of the best WRs in the league in single coverage with safety help coming way too late .... sigh ...

With everything going so wrong we came back, all they had to do was respect AJ Green speed and catch ability. Last year he caught the last touchdown off the safety tip and this year he catches the last touchdown. I can forget everything about the game except for why wasn't Jimmy Smith covering Green, really WHY???

The solution to our woes are quite simple:

-Running back without 2 left feet (forsett did great and can't wait to rice returns)

-QB, really needs to WAKE up!!!

-Receivers should not have more drops than catches??

**Steelers need to lose and not win** (lol)

We pay Suggs and Ngata way too much money to go un noticed during the game! We need them to make plays for us! Pierce was awful! Forset earned the job! Offense looked out of sync the entire 1st half mostly because of pierce! Good call not to have jimmy smith follow green! Cost us the game!

Yea like others on here have already stated. I really don't understand why we didn't have Jimmy Smith locked on AJ Green with 5 mins left and the game on the line. I mean I'm no defensive coordinator or NFL coach, but that's simply a stupid decision. This dude (AJ) has the talent to rival Megatron and you're not going to put your best corner on him, when the game is in the balance? We're not the Seahawks!!!! We DONT have enough talent on defense particularly the secondary to play our best corner on one side of the field and not follow the other team's best player. So stupid of Pees...

Dean Peas I am beginning to see why New England parted ways with you?? The Ravens are known for the their defense and now not even the latest Johnn Madden video games nor league respect us.
