That would be huge. This has been a dreadful week to be a Ravens fan and you'd imagine the players are only feeling it worse. Even our own fans are writing us off at this point, so game on.

Honestly it could dictate our season... Obviously anything can happen and all that jazz but if we start 0-2 and 0-2 in the division at home

The realism would be that we would probably put ourselves in a situation where we'd have to fight just to get a wild card spot

A big positive is that we don't have to travel. Could also say it's actually a good thing we play on Thursday so this won't be an even longer distraction. We legitimately don't have time to think about it and have good reason to avoid those questions.

This game will say a lot about this team. Rebounding from week 1 and the Rice saga, with one of our biggest games of the year on a short week. I have no idea what to expect.

I'm filling a little optimistic about this game.  Really!  I believe that the Ravens will rally in support of one another due to this media firestorm around Rice's infamous video and release from the team on yesterday and have a "us against the world" mentality and aggressive style of play.  Flacco will be on fire (yeah...I said that), the running backs will be explosive, the receivers will catch everything tossed their way as though they are wearing that old-school stick'um and the defense will be firing on all cylinders and be beastly in their approach to locking down Big Ben, the run game and flying through the air in the secondary...pick city!!

Go Ravens!!

@Mili

no way!!! I luv it!

By the way JF says done deal.  Enjoy the game!

Go    :argdancingravensblueonwkk8:

The brown thing wasn't intentional. I don't think he meant to kick him in the face

It looked like he wanted to hurdle him and couldn't.

He's been my favorite for sometime.  Even though he's kicked our butt, he seemed like an exceptional person.

Everytime I crop a freaking pic and put it on photobucket it goes back to original size.. Ugh

But was very happy to see this stat.. Was curious what the number would be

Expecting big things from Joe Thursday.. Unless we play conservative and run the ball down their throats which looks highly possible after steelers week one performance

He was always my favorite steeler, I mean the hair commercials are awesome. He's also one of the greatest Safeties to play the game, just being a fan of football makes it easy to enjoy watching him play. The Ravens-Steelers rivalry is something many take for granted, we've watched more than a few HOFers play against each other passionately 2-3 times a year for a long time.

So his stat line "could've been" 43/62 455 yards 1td 1int 89 passer rating

Obviously there's gonna be drops I know.. Just more of a coulda been deal... Against a great defense in cincy with the struggles the oline had

I will gladly accept that

That's a remarkable number. Staggering, really. Torrey, Steve, fix those hands! I trust Steve more than Torrey, as this was his first game with Joe. Torrey has only known Joe as a pro.

Forgot Jacoby.

Forgot Jacoby.

Eh, he hasn't ever had the best hands. He's that homerun threat who gives you tachycardia because you can't believe he caught he pass and now he's making crazy things happen with it.

I have not been impressed with him since preseason, he looks slowwww.

I agree. Ever since the preseason game 3, I've wondered what's up with him, if he was hurt or something. I also don't like how he is getting frustrated back there. When I watched the game against the Bengals, I saw Jacoby getting rattled and seemingly upset, at least that was my impression. It's like he had a bad attitude or something. I didn't particularly like what I saw. It was on a return. Maybe he was just frustrated they kept kicking touchbacks on him, but you can't let that get to your head and I saw it getting to his head.

That number is pretty much what I surmised after the game. Most of the drops were on deeper passes. I figured they averaged to 20 yards downfield each. That number doesn't even include YAC, (because how do you assume?).

Not to say Joe had a fantastic day, because I saw the game and would never let stats override what I saw. But I think people need to realize that when things around you go wrong, it has a huge impact on how you play. Joe couldn't get into a rhythm because drops stalled drives. There was a period of time where Joe had no trust in anyone but Pitta and Daniels, who he was forcing passes into (leading to his one INT). The error at the end of the half doesn't happen if a few of those drops lead to points. The sacks at the end of the game probably don't happen, because we're probably not down by a full TD by then (or we at least would've ran the ball more, tiring out the defense). Everything is different when the offense clicks around you.

It won't be a coincidence that the day the receivers play well is the day Joe looks like he's playing well. But that so seldom happens.

Remember when Joe started dishing out death stares? I was surprised but he did. He was serving them up left and right. You could see that Joe was thinking "Okay, guys, what the Hell is going on? Catch the damn football when I throw it!"

I didn't see death stares because my feed was bad. I must've missed that pixel. But I know Joe can get annoyed when the receivers let him down. I would be too. Joe took a huge hit to get that ball to Jacoby only for him to drop it. Then add in the other plays - the drops, the receivers not making the right breaks, etc.. Even on the TD to Steve Smith, Joe had to direct him to keep running downfield. Joe probably felt like he was the only one trying to score. No wonder he tried to make a play at the end of the half, only to have none of his receivers open in the endzone. I know Torrey was just sitting on the sideline at the 10, making himself useless.
