im not at all confident either, im also hopeful......but we have so many holes that i could buy it if you told me the ravens would kill us

Well, one thing is certain, we cannot under any circumstances, even if it means (blech!) the Steelers taking the Division, let the Bengals come out above 3rd!

yea it was ugly, but i hope that that was mostly due to the fact that we were up 27-3 on the browns and we let up a bit. now thats a problem but one that is fixable

if it was on purpose brown is some kind of kung fu master.......im sure he looked at the guy, he is a potential tackler. But to believe he did it on purpose you have to believe that in a split second Brown decided to jump kick a guy in the face and pulled it off perfectly.......thats some Jet-LI talent there

dude, Brown looked right at the guys face and stepped on it. You can see his head drop when he looks at him. Maybe a brain fart, but that was no accident.

all that him looking at him proves is that he knew he was there and made a move to get past him........but answer me this do you think brown is capable of jump kicking a guy in the face at a full run and still land on his feet after on purpose, and you think he feels so confident in his ability to do this that the first thing that pops in his head in that split second is "oh im going to jump kick this guy".  if thats the case than wow brown is better than i thought....we have a Martial arts master playing wideout

I feel like it's going to be an ugly, ugly game....If it even happens because apparently the sky is falling and the seasons over already.

Hopefully our offense clicks early. If Antonio Brown doesn't get a 1 game suspension, (which is a long shot) then we're going to get torched...Even if Webb plays, how effective should we expect him to be? Wheaton looked great today as well.

On offense I hope we involve Juice in the passing game this time. No more drops, rookie mistakes by Joe, or miscommunications. Run the ball, run the ball and then run the ball some more.

But none of that will matter if we can't generate a pass rush. We won't win a game this season if we play the way we did today. Our CB's are simply not good enough to cover for more than 5 seconds. Fortunately for us, the Bengals weren't good in the redzone. Otherwise it could've been a Denver like blow out.

Even though I'm still mourning this tough loss against Cincy, I'm excited because it's Steelers week. Hoping for a blowout but expecting another classic. Ravens win 27-24

We'll slowly but surely get better. I truly believe that. Next time we see Cincy we'll be a different team.

I think he thought he could hurdle him and when he realized he couldn't, he planted his foot in his face to keep him from tackling him.

ok so hes in mid air and he realizes he isnt going to make it and he will land on the punter.....so far we agree

but your version then goes that he decides that if hes going to hit this guy it might as well be a kick to the face....

my version is that he decides to get his feet under him to prevent landing in an awkward and painful way(which is common practice) and as it happened the punter ducked back(which isnt his fault) and browns foot hit him in the face

Browns history of not being vicious leads me to believe my version is more likely

now if this was James Harrison.........I would think differently

I think the offense wakes up and plays a full 60 minutes on Thursday.

28-14 Ravens.

But that score reflects the defense shows up too. Big Ben isn't Andy Dalton.

Rodgers, Brady, Brees and Flacco ;)

I think of those four, only Brees played better today; and ATL's defense isn't exactly Cincy's

Hello everyone, I think the steelers offense is looking great. But the defense is another story.

The Score will be Steelers 34 Ravens 31

LOL @ you thinking we put up 31 points.

You just love to argue with me, haha. Nah, I think we play solid clock control on offense and the defense gets a turnover or two. I also think Suggs might wake up from his slumber. I think he's only had like one sack in his last eight consecutive regular season games and I think he's hungry.

They'll play a full 60 minutes no doubt, but how well?? We can drop 28 in a half on them. Then put up 3 and turn it over four times the other half

We put up 17 today in just a half. It's not unrealistic to think we could score 31.

Hey man, smile. Life's not too bad.

I was actually smiling as I typed it.  Trust me, I don't let the games get me down.  Much more important things to be worried about, even though they did cost me a little bit of money.

Nah I just think we looked peewee league on every side of the ball. I blame Pees for the defensive showing because he's on year three. It's not a new system, he's gotten the high draft picks etc and so far, same old same old with him.

I don't yet blame Kubiak because he's new, it's a brand new system (though I do blame him for going pass heavy too early) and it is quite easy to see the blatant dropped passes.

...and I have no idea what is wrong with Jacoby on ST.

What, you don't think Tucker is capable of 10 field goals?

LMAO.... I knew it was going to be a rough game when Tucker missed the kick, even though 55 yarders aren't guarantees.  I can't believe people actually got mad at him for that.  Theses boards are hilarious on game day.  I love the "well I'm gone" posts when we're down and then the same people chiming in a few days later saying "I always believed, but I was just mad" when we come back.

We go back and forth a lot, but I just want to point out that the six high draft picks we have on defense played well. Mosley, Elam, and Williams all had great days today. Jernigan wasn't bad. All of our defensive problems seem to be in the position groups we didn't invest high picks in.

Funny thing about Tucker....last year, I knew he was going to bury that 61 yarder against DET. Forgone conclusion. Today....I just kinda knew. Really, some days belong to you, others don't...I had a feeling today wasn't ours, and it's okay. I believe that 11 Sundays will belong to us by season's end, hopefully that's enough to win the division

Yea, I haven't lost faith in being a playoff team.  Seems the offense still had communication issues and I hope we don't start any other game with that many drops.  The o line is improved though and Mosley is going to be a stud.  Just wondering how long it will take everything to start clicking, pass rush included.

Pass rush concerned me. That group is experienced enough to where they shouldn't need time to start clicking

Well I've calmed down a bit by now and the truth is most of our offensive woes are completely fixable in a week, even perhaps more a fluke.

7 drops in a game - by three different targets - seems like kind of a fluke thing. Smith Sr had most of those drops, Daniels another - we know Flacco throws bullets - could be they needed to adjust to that.

Not sure about ST though - Jacoby seemed bad today. I hope he had the flu or something and it made him seem off. Definitely fixable by Thursday.

As for Flacco, this is what he does when he loses confidence in his receivers to catch the ball - he begins to make mental errors. Erase the drops, the mental errors are gone as well.

Hopefully, we just start Forsett on Thursday. He looked way better than Pierce.

Well, that's the biggest plus from today. Our OL turned in about an average performance, I give it a C+....which is a massive improvement from last year. RBs had holes, more often than not, Flacco had time to at least scan the field quickly or enough room to get out of the pocket. Just some dumb mistakes from the coaches and one in particular from Flacco, and drops, that cost us. Nothing that as of yet seems like should be a consistent issue.

On defense: if Webb is out Antonio brown is not a good matchup for us. I expect him to have a big game receiving. I also expect to see the steelers have success running inside. Bens style of play and the general game plan of the steelers should lend itself to more pressure especially from Suggs who has a tendency to step up in this match up.

On offense I expect us to more consistently run the ball with forsett establishing himself as the primary runner. I also expect flacco to have good success against the secondary after a slow start.

While it seems like this game lends itself to a high score, it never seems to. 24-23 ravens with a last second TD pass to Steve Smith.
