True. The up side: Very little has changed in this division and we almost pulled-off a division title with very questionable play last year. The NFC South (not cold weather teams at all) matchups that we have this year don't offer as many high caliber players as last year (NFC N) and we performed alright (winning some games). The only real change is that we got better for this season. It's time that our team realizes that this is a new year. They started to get it late in the 2nd half last game. I'm hoping they get it, now. We can swept this division and win most of the NFC matchups. We'll know if they get it tonight.

GO Ravens!!!

Both Saints and Falcons Os can be pretty lethal though.

Let's just play some football, not any football, but Raven- Steeler football! I hate to say it but I have this feeling that the Rice story will over shadow the great rivalry that defines the two teams and make this a must see game. Even if you just love football, regardless of the teams! I only hope that CBS focuses more on the meaning of not just the game, but this game is being played on (9/11). Some things are bigger than football but given that The Rice story is bigger than ISIS on the national evening news is the saddest commentary on American society than I have even seen on 55 years on this Earth. What the hell is wrong with us? (sorry moderators) but this has to be said!!

Are you ready for some football? Somehow this feels like the first week. I only hope the distractions of the past week do not weigh on the team but how could it not? Here in Illinois this old Baltimore homer will still yell as loud, disturb his neighbors, and love his Ravens as much, if not more now more  than I ever had since I had to leave my home town! Love you Raven Nation, stand up and be counted! In the words of AC/DC, for those about to rock!" Fire! Stand tall, stand proud and know one man cannot bring us all down! freak the media we are Ravens, let's show them that we can rise above this! If you think you are Charm City Tough, let's show 'em who we are!! Love you Baltimore, love you Ravens! For those about to rock, FIRE!!!!

And we see the video at least twice...

IDK, I haven't been watching, but I would guess that after they were criticized for putting Janay through that crap over and over the video may be off limits. At least I hope so...........  Volume down, radio on for me. Don't need the distraction!

Go   :argdancingravensblueonwkk8:

I would do that if I could time align.

yeah, there is a 12 to 15 second lead and I don't usually do it. But for this one I don't care.  Hopefully the "Oh my God" yells from Q are for good plays!   :D

Some decent articles on the Bengals game and what needs to occur in the Steelers game:

http://ravensall-22.blogspot.com/2014/09/examining-ravens-bend-but-dont-break.html

http://ravensall-22.blogspot.com/2014/09/early-takeaways-from-new-look-baltimore.html

Basically to summarize:

Offense: Use more 22 set personnel, balance the run and throw %, have Flacco roll out more from play action, have Torrey make plays and YAC closer to the LOS

Defense: Get checks in line and communicate pre-snap better, try to play less off-man coverage

Don't see Pitt having that much success pressuring up the middle so I don't think rollouts are necessarily a "key".. I'd say the only key WR really need on offense is some form of consistency. Stop hitting brick walls and make progress each drive

If Flacco can rally the team tonight I won't say anything bad about him for the rest of the season. Seriously. Quote me on it.
