Official Vent Thread: Who to cut, Who Played Well, Who is in the Dog House?

Jacoby was garbage. Chykie and Asa played well considering the circumstances. Flacco put aside a horrendous first half to play a great second half of football. Offense had obvious growing pains, but you're an idiot if you expected them to be 100 percent.

But did you guys ever stop to think that we just got beat? Bengals are a good team, no matter how much you deny it.

I really can't believe they didn't stick Jimmy on AJ the entire game

It's not even that. If you're going to stick Jimmy on one side of the field, for  God's sake put him on the right side where it's easier for a right-handed QB to throw! AJ Green + lined-up on the right-side of the field + right-handed QB Andy Dalton + Chykie Brown with no help = failure.

Pierce looked slow as molasses . Torrey couldn't get open .

Smith sr couldn't catch till late in the game .

Chykie Brown is plain horrible . How he ends up covering Green is just amazing .

The entire offense played like [profanity deleted] for a long time. I put the majority of the blame on them even though we all know some idiots are going to rail against the defense for the one TD they finally gave up. The big problem is the offense proved it can hold up its end of the deal against a great defense, but I'm just not sure they can do it consistently. This looks like a 5 win to 11 win team and that scares me because 2 years stuck in the middle isn't good for any franchise. The Ravens will never ever tank a season but man we either need to step up our development of players or hit some real homeruns in the draft because this team is going to get stuck in purgatory.

The secondary is a problem but I like the way they performed without Webby. What i didn't like was that pees got a tad bit too aggressive in the end and that cover 1 should have had Jimmy on Green. At the end of the day for all you people complaining about conservative pees, you got what you wanted at the end. That was hyper aggressive play calling to me in that situation.

Seems like our defense was the least of our worries. They did great considering the circumstances of how the offense plays. Same old Ravens..... good defense and shaky offense.

Flacco sucked.

Receivers sucked for the most part, especially Jones.

WHY is Flacco passing 62 times? No team wins with that sort of lopsided number.

Chykie Brown is, predictably, a disaster. This team made a mistake with the CB position, just like they did last year with an RB position.

7-9 looks like it'll be a miracle.

Yeah, definitely got beat in every facet. Coaching, offense, defense, special teams, etc. We got beat, straight-up.

I didn't think we were going to win this game anyway./. Kinda what I expected actually

I'm just really tired of this team being a one half team. If this team could play a full 60 minute game they would be dangerous. Unfortunately that's not what we had today. If this team plays like this we will easily go 8-8 at best. Really hope this team picks up steam and makes corrections quick or else the division is gone.

Wagner, Pierce, Jones, Flacco.

Brown and Pees. Just to name the worst of the game.

What a joke. Flacco had some very questionable plays, but was on point for most of the game. And I'm sorry, Steve Smiths big play doesn't make up for his horrid first half.

Jacoby had a terrible game as well. Steve Smith had quite a few drops but redeemed himself at the end.

Agreed. Aiken looked at lot better at WR. Jacoby didn't look real good on kicks either. Sucks. Flacco's footwork was terrible from the start of the game. He needs to put in some more work... Too bad we have a short week.

Forsett looked great though. He should be the starter against pitt.

Too many drops and receivers not sitting in the right space. That would've completely changed the game. Offense needs more time.

If we can perform on offense like we did in the second half, we will win a lot more games than people might think. We shouldve run more and used Juice more on offense. Still obvious things need to be worked on, but I have high hopes for this team. All of our conference games are going to be extremely tough. It's going to be a bumpy year for us.

How can people blame the defense when they held the Bengals to five field goals and just one TD by the great AJ Green? Considering the talent on that Bengal offense, our D played as good as they could play.

Flacco's first half was crap. He did good in the second half but we need more time to get going. I liked what I saw in the second half so I'm not too worried

I picked us to lose but I hate how we lost. Nothing is worse than losing a winnable game.

If only Flacco didn't go full idiot at the end of the 1st half we could have taken the game to OT.

I don't think Flacco deserves blame for this one. Did he play great? nah but how can you expect him to with a garbage surrounding cast.

Flacco screwed the game. Right from the gepco he was completely off. By nearly end of 3rd quarter we were trying to spark a last minute hurrah. Only this time we failed

Just remember.... if you're going to count drops, you also have to count the dropped interceptions, which Flacco also had multiple of.

Pierce is clearly in the doghouse.  One mistake, and he's benched.  Didn't even get a cahnce to get a rhythym before that because he was in for a carry, then out for the next 4 plays.  Then in for 1 carry.... then out for a few more plays.

Notice how when Forsett got multiple carries in a row.... things picked up.  And as bad as Flacco, receivers, and passing game were... you'd think they would have run the ball MORE much earlier in the game.

And please, if anyone blames the offensive line.... slap yourself.  Flacco had plenty of time.  The running game did just fine.  Flacco took two HORRIBLE sacks.  He took points off the board right before halftime.  He just has no awareness.

Even in the open field, he gets one-arm tackled by a guy that could EASILY have been avoided.  Flacco just has no awareness.  He's blind.  Which explains many other things that happen on the field.  Doesn't even recognize a blitz.  Throwing into double coverage.  (sorry, but that's on the QB.  they can't double cover ALL the receivers.  at LEAST find the guy that's in single coverage).  Regularly leading receivers and tight ends right into huge hits.  If you want receivers to work hard for you, try and keep them from taking a killshot.

How in the world doesn't a 120 million dollar QB know how to salvage points at the end of a half?

I'm Blown.

Jacoby can't catch a cold out there.

Justin Forsett looked decent.

That means the DEFENSE was on point, not your QB or ANYONE on offense.

Well after Pierce got hurt in preseason. I got back to reality as far as my expectations for him this year. After that fumble he was pulled completely by Harbaugh.

Jacoby had 2 decent returns, dropped a long pass then he fumbled a key Punt.

The defense didn't put consistent pressure on Dalton, Bernard was open all game on dump offs. Dalton actually missed a wide open guy at least 5 times.

To be honest every second that passes i see how well we played and how better the play calling was than i thought during the game. Pees had to be hyper aggressive during that drive because the bengals would have taken advantage of the Ravens conservative defense and marched down the field for a FG and ran down all the time. His had was forced by us not getting the two point conversion. I like the aggressiveness just not Chykie on Green.
