Why wasn't Juice used is my biggest question.

Played bad but could easily won it. Joe had to throw too much. Made some stupid decisions but kept us in it.

Disappointed but I think we could not get better.

This is an 8-8 or 9-7 team. Even if we make the playoffs we don't have the gusto to go very far.. disappointing. I said it all offseason that Chykie can't play meaningful snaps or he'll give up a big play.. What do you know? Jacoby had a terrible game as well.  Steve Smith had quite a few drops but redeemed himself at the end.

Pees strikes again late in the game. How Chykie doesn't have clear help over the top on AJ Green for every play after we take the lead is beyond me. That's high school crap*.

Turns out the fans were right about the cb situation just like we were about the wr's last year. This "We like our guys" stuff needs to stop, we have clear issues at positions and don't address it.. This is what you get, big play given up from Chykie because we didn't address a position of need when we had the chance

He did have help. Darian Stewart was single high if I remember correctly.

Single high is more of an oldschool Reed coverage when he could roam the whole field and cover corners mistakes.  Pees is a damn fool to go that coverage with 5min left after we just stick a dagger in the Bengals.  

Edit- Not directed specifically at you Raven, but too often on this board I hear people say players have to play and make the plays.  But freak me, a coach has to know what the hell he's doing in situations with the players he has.

Why?

I don't see him putting players in the best position to maximize their potential and I don't think the players buy into his coaching. I think he's an ineffective coach here. I don't think he's necessarily bad, but I don't see our guys buying into what he's doing  for whatever reason.

Jones looked really slow on returns . Really not his typical speed though he had one good return

Yeah, I don't know what happened to Jacoby. It's like Kubiak comes here and he reverts back to the old Jacoby Jones from the Texans.

this game hurt so bad because we could have won it but stupid mistakes killed us. i place the blame on the coaches for fielding this mess of a game plan.

Go back to the offseason thread and look at how hard I pushed for Brandon Flowers and how many times I said we need another reliable corner because Chykie would kill us in the regular season. This isn't a surprise to me, it's frustrating to have seen this coming back in July

Flacco sucked.

 

Receivers sucked for the most part, especially Jones.

 

WHY is Flacco passing 62 times? No team wins with that sort of lopsided number.

 

Chykie Brown is, predictably, a disaster. This team made a mistake with the CB position, just like they did last year with an RB position.

 

7-9 looks like it'll be a miracle.
