John Harbaugh For Coach Of The Week (if Not Year)

17 posts in this topic

That Fake FG in the 3rd Quarter was EPIC, and that was totally Coach's call. That one play could very well have been the spark this team needed to make a deep run in the AFC B)

Coach Harbaugh for Coach of the Week.... and Coach of the Year, hands down!

I could not agree more with your post. Harbs is phemonal in his first year coaching, especially with a rookie QB (who plays like a veteran). GO RAVENS!

definitly coach of the year ... even though there is a lot of tough competition from tony sparano, jeff fisher, and possibly mike smith who would be more of a stretch, but other than those two there isnt a more deserving choice than harbaugh

I 100% agree with you. Harbaugh totally deserves it. The whole entire coaching staff is incredible.

But he was our "2nd choice" after Garrett.
Too bad Jason Garrett declined our offer. I mean he's doing so well right now, and we're looking terrible. I bet he's going to regret it for the rest of his life. And he should.

Harbaugh will not win Coach of the Year because of a few simple reasons.

First the National media doesn't recognize the great ball the Ravens are playing. All they see is the Falcons and Dolphins, and for good reason. However no one seems to understand that Harbaugh has turned this team around, he was the one that wanted to keep Rex as DC and add Cam as OC. He has been the one that has allowed this team to Whats Important Now, instead of looking ahead to pro bowls and things like that. Harbaugh is the won that has allowed this team to focus on the team and what we do or don't do to win games, instead of blaming the refs(and for good reason) for costing us games. Harbs, had done a great job this season, but because he isn't one of the national stories he won't win Coach of the Year.

Hopefully the win against the Cowboys on their fairwell will help him out. As far as the Coach of the Year and the Rookie of the Year, they seem to be already set in stone. So i would much rather Harbs and Joe Cool to be the first Rookie head coach and QB to win the Super Bowl then anything else.

Agreed, but if the Falcons should falter (and Ryan too) and the Fins miss the playoffs how can you NOT vote for Harbs and Flacco?

The same why they couldn't vote Ngata into the Probowl but instead gave Rogers the nod.

If he gets into the playoffs over Sparano or Smith then I think Harbs has it. He is gaining more and more credibility and respect throughout this league and with the media.
