Coming to Baltimore 9/11

9 posts in this topic

We are flying into Baltimore for the Ravens Steelers game on 9/11 staying at Pier 5 hotel in the harbor... from what I have seen online parking is near IMPOSSIBLE at the stadium unless you have a parking pass to the lots (which are held by season ticket holders).    I was thinking taxi but then I figured it would probably cost a fortune with all the traffic from the game?  Any suggestions on a the easiest way to and from the game?  Thanks a bunch!  Let's go Ravens!!!

Step 1: see if your hotel has a shuttle. Many do.

If you're staying in the harbor area and are reasonably fit, you should be able to walk. If not, after the game walk to the nearest hotel with a taxi stand ( probably the Hilton) and grab a cab there.

I don't know that it's that far of a walk, personally.  If you don't mind doing it. There will be a TON of people out there that night, and shouldn't be too much of a problem for you.  I would walk right around the Inner Harbor, and over to the Stadium.  We typically park at a lot North of the Harbor and walk as well... lots out there are generally a little cheaper than the ones right around the stadium that charge $30 for the event.... We walk because, yes, parking is horrendous, and it will take you almost as long to get there by car as it would to walk.  Walking TO the game it will still be light out...  Even going back to the Hotel, there should be a lot of people.    Walking straight down Pratt Street to N. Howard and heading South to the Stadium, there will be a ton of people and not really dangerous at all.

Just a thought.  If you aren't comfortable with that, a cab will get you there safely.

DUH....  Thanks Mod 3, didn't think about shuttles.......

The Harbor Magic shuttle does stop at the Pier 5 Hotel... and goes to Camden Yards which is right next to M&T Bank Stadium.

However since this time I have herniated 2 disc in my neck and 3 disc in my lower back so not sure how far the new gimpy me can walk these days  :bitenails:  We are headed to the Yankee's Orioles game on Friday to complete our sports semi weekend trip to Baltimore.. the Harbor Magic Shuttle sounds like my new best friend.  Thanks again everyone I really appreciate it!
