Is he worth a one year deal at vet minimum to help at the CB position? Watching him on NFL AM and didn't know he was a free agent.

Played in 11 games last year for the Broncos ... 13 tackles, no INT's. I wonder what his health situation is cause I don't think anyone brought him into a camp. I think there would be better options, including even Champ Bailey. Id be more inclined to roll w/ the young guys, but depth is certainly concerning.

I'm pretty sure he had to start against the Chargers in the playoffs and he wasn't too spectacular.

He could provide veteran leadership to a relatively young and inexperienced secondary, but he's not going to play much

He's alright.  I'm not sure he's a better option than Derek Cox or Dominique Franks if/when we just re-sign them.

I'll pass.  I'd take Cox, Franks and some others before him.

Were basically rolling dice and hoping something sticks w/ these vet min players.

Putting faith on chykie before TC was a bad idea. Corey should've been sealed w/ a cheap deal.

I thought The Ravens offer Corey a deal but The Bills provided more money also he's from new york so he's staying closer to home.

Webb and smith have been around
Chykie and Asa are vets in our system
Cox and franks can be re signed if it's truly about veteran presence with other teams
But ultimately if all healthy we have experience

Pretty sure the secondary as a whole is under 30

He is at that point now where he doesn't have much of anything left in the tank. He was a good player but the fact that he has been unsigned this whole time says enough about him.

Didn't realize that being 30 means experience
Pretty sure Webb and smith have years of game experience and chykie and Asa been in the system for a few years

Just as you get older, you get more savvy and learn different tricks. Torrey is a three year starter and he's still learning from Steve Smith. I'm sure Webb, who is a two year starter full time, and Jimmy, who is a one year full time starter, would be happy to have a veteran. Not to mention that Asa has never played a defensive snap.

Didn't realize it was harmful to have someone who's been around for a while pass on knowledge

A). Coaches are there for the "savvy ness"
B). Cox has been around a few teams/players like jammer to gain "savvy ness"

If I was insistent upon having a former older player just to teach the others then I'd look at a veteran of a newly implemented system. Not just an old guy.

A) That's not something coaches are going to teach as well as players who play the game know. They know what a player can and can't get away with and subtle tricks that work against players.

B) He's been around four teams in two years, meaning he probably isn't the best option to teach that because something wasn't working.

I'm not saying sign Jammer for that reason, nearly giving possibly his only positive at this point. And, Steve Smith is teaching the young receivers a lot and he wasn't even in the west coast before or a Raven before

Jammer isn't any good anymore.  Broncos tried to throw him at safety, to give you an idea of their thought on his CB ability, during TC and preseason but he couldn't figure it out.
