I usually post these ever year. I didn't last year. I am this year. It makes it easier for me to look back and see how accurate things are. Could also be a fun place to discuss players progress or regress.

2015 Free Agents: QB Taylor, TE Daniels, T Reid, WR T. Smith, DL Cody, OLB McPhee, CB Brown, S Miles, S Stewart, LS Cox, RB Forsett
2015 Restricted Free Agents: WR Thompson, WR Aiken, ILB Bynes, K Tucker, S Levine, S Hill.
2015 Possible Cap Cuts: DL Ngata, DL Canty, ILB McClellan, P Koch
2016 Free Agents: RB Pierce, G Yanda, C Gradkowski, DL Tyson, OLB Upshaw, CB Jackson, CB Smith. In addition to 2015 Cap Cut list and RFA list.

2014 Players to Watch: DL Ngata. DL Canty, P Koch, OLB McPhee.
Keep a close eye on Ngata and Canty this year, because one of them could be a cap casualty next year. Same goes for Koch, because if he doesn't perform well he could be gone. We may also need a new LS if we don't re-sign Cox after this year. McPhee could play his way out of Baltimore with a strong season, which looks likely.

These players won't just affect the cap but also the draft. Their performance these year will have an impact on our off-season next year.

Personally, I'm watching Ngata and Canty very closely. I think one will be gone and I'm not sure it's Canty and I'm not sure it's Ngata. It wouldn't surprise me if we kept Canty over Ngata but that would greatly depend on many factors.

May I suggest a line -- Free Agents Likely to hit the Lottery (ie. be kept): Torrey, Jimmy, Courtney, Tucker.

just a thought.

I'd agree with three out of the four but I'm not sure about Upshaw. I doubt he gets paid since he's an OLB who doesn't provide a lot of pass rush.

My player to watch is Doom; have him reaching 15+ sacks. On offense, Ray Rice..yup I said it. I was watching 2012 highlights n it reminded me how good he is. He's not even 29 yet so I don't see a wall coming this year I see a guy that has alot to prove and a solid bunch of guys that's behind him.

Wagner on Offense along with Marlon (as far as starters go, i consider the #3 receiver as sort of a starter). Pierce, he needs to stay healthy and give us a reason to keep him around. I want to see some tough running from LT as well.

On Defense I'm looking at Mosley (i picked him to be our #1 pick, so im watching to see how good of a player we got), Jackson as the #3 CB, Stewart as the starting FS. Williams on the Dline to continue his dominance from the preseason - you know what im just going to stop there, im watching pretty much everyone on Defense, i think this D can do big things this year as long as they stay healthy

I'm most excited to see Juice utilized by a coordinator who knows how to call plays that cater to his players' strengths. He could be a force this season.

So we are in pretty decent shape with free agency next year, save for Tuck and Torrey. Getting those two locked up should be manageable, with Tucker obviously being the priority.

I agree something will be done with Ngata's cap hit. It would seem the what depends on his health this year and how he finishes. Canty will most likely be gone.

Ravens save 2 million next year if/when they cut Canty and would save 8.5 million cutting Ngata next year. Thats some coin that could go towards Torrey, J smith, Tucker, Upshaw etc.

I think there is a good chance Ngata and Canty are both cut after this season. Canty is almost certainly gone, and if Ngata doesn't sign a team friendly extension ala Sizzle, he is likely gone as well. It's a shame that KLM and Urban both went down because seeing them play this year would lend some insight into how prepared the team is without those two veterans.

I was gonna say. Canty is a FA anyway :P

I wouldn't be surprised if we go Dline early next year actually.

Canty is signed next year but we save around 2.6 mil on the cap by getting rid of him

Yeah. 2015 is decent but the world comes to an end in 2016 when most of the team could be drastically different. That's the grass you could see big names cut or not re-signed. I'll call it potentially a transformation year. The play of these guys, like KO, Yanda, Ngata, Canty, Upshaw, Smith Sr, Jones, Jackson, Jimmy Smith, Dumervil, Rice and Pierce will shape that off-season.

Ngata n Oz have both already said he isn't going anywhere. Ngata is the D's captain the reason he's getting paid all that money this year is because he earned it. He was playing for peanuts in his prime compared to other DL men. He's definitely going to resign a cap friendly deal. Tucker & the Smiths are very well already signed...n yea no need to jinx anything with all the unless stuff. Football season is here!

Lol no jinx. And just because Ngata is here and played well before doesn't mean a thing. Unless he plays well, I don't see him earning all that money next year. I do think there's a good chance he sticks not I'm not sure he'll get another deal. He's going to be 31 by next off-season. I think the DL heavy draft is a sign his time is coming to an end.

Mason was cut after signing a new deal the year before. We cut Heap who was a fan favorite. Let's not forget that we let Ed Reed leave. And more recently, we traded Boldin, who said he wanted to retire a Raven and all that. You're living a dream if you think there's no chance he's cut or home next year or even the year after.

I meant he's definitely going to be here next year. Now after that idk he may retire. N of course he's outta here if he doesn't play well. As for the rest of the vets that u mentioned that the fo cut well we don't know these guys personally... we weren't there but I do know some of the guys n Haloti is a stand up dude. That goes far.

My top 10 for this year.

1. Flacco

I feel this is the year he finally breaks through 4000 and 25+ touchdowns less than 8 interceptions

2. All running backs

Will we comeback from last years drought?

3. Pitta

He is on my fantasy and I think he is beast.

4. Tucker

Always excited to see him kick anything past 55 yards

5. Smith

Can he reach 1000 yards and be the playmaker he is?

6. Juice

I loved what he was doing in the preseason. Almost picked him in fantasy.

7. Webb

Can he stay healthy?

8. Doom

Get them sacks

9. Sam Koch

Can he rebound after somewhat of a down year?

10. Cj Mosley

Can the rookie play as a starter? ROTY?

There's some truth here, but all three of the guys you mention were physically shot as was proven by their short lived tenure elsewhere. And with Heap, they actually sought out Arizona because he wanted to be close to his family. If it comes to pass that Haloti's physical woes become as bad, you're right, he's gone. Otherwise they mutually come to any needed agreement for him to stay.

Edit: sorry, forgot to address Boldin. Q spent three years with us and while he was effective at times(especially 2012 post season) didn't warrant the financial sacrifice at a time cap space was sorely needed.

I just added Forsett to the list, since I apparently forgot to add him for a strange reason.

Yeah, the question is how do we know right now Haloti isn't physically shot? That's the question, and it's why I have him on the list. I'm not saying he's a bum, calling for him to get cut now, blah blah. I'm saying that if he doesn't perform well this year, then there is a really strong chance he is cut or plays out his deal into the sunset. That's all. I don't even know if we will cut him. I think we'll likely cut Canty and just let Ngata ride it out before we cut Ngata, simply because he can give you some splash plays here and there as he has done it. I assume we will try to work Ngata in as a rotational player next year or even this year if we are indeed moving on. So, that's all. I'm just saying to watch him closely, because his play is going to be heavily scrutinized after our investments in the DL combined with our new cap constraints on 2015.
