Reed was bum and Mellette is out of the NFL. And Simon (a 4th rounder who has shown nothing) was just cut. Other than those 3, I sorta agree with your post.

Mellette's career is over because of a knee injury. He looked promising and no doubt would at least be on the practice squad if he didn't get hurt.

I didn't think it was a foregone conclusion but I didn't think anyone would want garbage but I guess when you're desperate you're desperate. I think the Colts and huh had an arrangement where he sucked so bad that we would release him so they could reclaim him.

They're offensive line is bad enough that he'd be average compared to the rest of the players

Actually I kind of figured this might happen. Their starting o-line is mostly a mess compared to ours anyway, wouldn't surprise me if he is back starting for them again at some point this year.

AQ is a fan favorite in Indy, too.  I saw a tweet yesterday that said we really didn't want to cut him, but he just wasn't a fit for Kubiak's scheme.

If by some miracle he does get thru waivers i see him coming back after what ever trades we have planned for WR and/or LB

Derek Cox isn't signing with the Ravens today, per a source, still expected to rejoin the team, though, as soon as Monday.

It's gotta be for a draft pick as a player for player swap would be a lateral move that would still make it difficult for Cox to join the 53. I'd guess WR (Thompson) since we are stacked and/or possibly a LB (Bynes) as well. It would appear both have their replacements (Campanaro and Orr) on the roster.

Oh wow that makes it even worse lol. The only defensive linemen I would like for us to sign is Kevin Vikerson or  Israel Idonije. Surprised to see Chris Clemons get cut by The Houston Texans but not sure if The Ravens would have interest in him.

I lobbied for Clemons so hard since he was so solid for the Dolphins. He's just solid, nothing more.

I wouldn't want Idonije because I don't think he'd fit the scheme and Vickerson is on the decline

I believe there are trade talks, just not for another CB.

That was really just an example.  It could be for DL or something too, and someone like Orr could go to the PS.

I can see DL. Really that's a big question mark as much as it looks like a strength. Ngata, Canty and Tyson are all free agents in 2016. Urban and Lewis-Moore are both coming off of injuries and you never know how a guy will recover from them. Williams looks great and Jernigan is a rookie. This DL has some real concerns, both long-term and short-term.

There's obviously something we don't know with his situation.  Despite having a very solid year last year, he drew very little interest on the open market. Then, a few months later, he gets cut.  We had the chance at him but ended up choosing Darian Stewart.  That doesn't bode well for his chances.

I have my doubts on Clemons. Why would the Texans cut him and bring back somebody else whom they cut to replace him? Stewart isn't stellar but not terrible either.
