As happy as I am, and as much as I think this game proved a lot about this team, it's still too early to call the Ravens "elite."

The Ravens need to beat more than just ONE great team; they need to do it on a more consistent basis.

Now, with that said, the Ravens are still a good team. A VERY good team. A VERY good team that's on the cusp of greatness.

So, don't take it as me being negative when I say the Ravens aren't quite to the point of being elite just yet. It doesn't downplay the fact that the Ravens are definitely headed in the right direction.

I won't say we are elite but will be next year. There are still some holes and a few positions that need depth. I also think there are some expendable players on this team. However, this year's team has definitely exceeded expectations.

anybody who thinks we're elite is tricking themselves into disappointment. Elite would be a good offense with our great defense, sorry but our offense just isn't there yet, they play solid but they still have much more room for improvement. I don't know about anyone else, but up until that McClain TD run...i was having a heart attack...like every tough game we've played.

Eagles and Dolphins? Maybe Redskins? The Cowboys are the only team we beat that the media loves.

I can say we're not "elite", because, IMO, we're not. It doesn't mean we're a bad team. And we might even be a good team. But that's just not the same as being one of the elite teams.

Didn't you expect us to get blown out this game?

We are still on the cusp of elite but alot of teams have been playing on the edge this year

With Flacco experienced for next year, and if we add a wr or two, and we fill in some missing gaps, we will be a scary team next year. Although we are a pretty darn good team this year.

if we beat jacksonville next week amd make the playoffs...i'm prettu sure we can be considered an elite team of 2008.

and our future looks good too especoally with a rookie QB & coach.
granted no injuries to flacco in the future....we can def be at a point where the steelers ain't the so called dominate team in our division.

and if cowher joins the browns....steelers will have a tough time and it should level things out and possibly make us the fav in the afc north for a good while.

what the heck does elite mean?? being an "elite team" has nothing to do with anything.... the 16-0 pats was an "elite team" but they didnt win the one that mattered. I like being a "playoff team" i think we can ... i know we can..

We aren't an elite team. We're a good team, but elite teams don't waiver towards the end of a game and give up big opportunities 90% of the time.

We actually beat a good team this time, but not in a very elite manner. =P

Not that it matters, who cares what we call ourselves as long as we WIN?

W is a W, a L is an L. same as last week.

Whoever has the most points at the end of the game is the winner no matter the stats or what ifs.

Define "any good". All the teams we lost to are 10+ win playoff teams... Losing to only the Steelers, Titans, Giants and Colts is pretty darn good. The top-2 seeds in the AFC and the top seed in the NFC... You're hard to please.

We play who is on our schedule, and ladies and gentlemen we are now 10-5. We went 3-1 in what was called the best division in football just weeks ago. Say what you will you negative naysayers, but this team is great. We went into a VERY emotional stadium and shut the stadium down for them. The 5 losses came to: Steelers twice (Arguably a top 3/4 team in the NFL) by 3, and 4 points, both easily winnable had just 1 call go the other way (Mason TD, Holmes TD), the Titans game by 3 points, which is arguably the 2nd best team in the NFL right now. We would have tied it at the end had Stover not missed a easy FG. Then the Giants, and Colts... so we have 2 ACTUAL losses IMO. We could easily be 13-2 right now. Get over your pessimistic selves. I bet all of you (Negative commenters) were the ones at the beginning of the season that thought we would be 5-10 right now about to go 5-11, or 6-10 next week. Take your negativity to the Steeler's forums.

Oh, and 3 of our 5 losses came early on when Flacco had 1 TD and around 7 INT's.

And just imagine...this is with Chris McAlister, Kelly Gregg and Dawan Landry, among others, on IR.
How good is this team if we had them???

To the Doubting Thomases, all I've got to say is this...

We outgunned an offense that features guys like Terrell Owens, Roy Williams, Jason Witten, Tony Romo and Marion Barber.
Our defense outplayed the NFL's 8th ranked defense.
All on a national stage that had the usual media circus in Dallas; with two of our four starting DB's and a starting DL on IR, and several key players on offense either inactive or playing with severe injuries.

'Nuff said!

Elite.....Well that be pushing it. We not there yet but we are a team that people dont want to go up against in the playoffs. The Dallas win showing people that we are not the Steve Mcnair Team.. Rookie QB, Rookie Coach....We

Last I checked the Eagles are pretty good.

We are a Top 5 team in the NFL right now.
