Rice HoF? Really? I love(d) the guy, but yowzer....not happening.

You would think that that's what the conversation was about with the way bmorebirds22 ignored the majority of what I said and turned everything into "wow you think Rice is as good as Faulk?" and "wow you think Rice is a Hofer" but that wasn't what the conversation started off about at all.All I was saying was IF Rice were to defy father time and replicate 2009-2012 for 5 or so years those numbers would be HOF worthy.I never said he was one or that he would be one.I just said from 2009-2012 he was racking up numbers at a hall of fame pace and that IMO it's possible that he could put those numbers up for 4 or 5 more years.

I don't understand the corner staying on one side only like with Sherman or Nnamdi in his Oakland days...

If you're a top 5 corner you should be able to follow the other team's number one weapon all over the field.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2188121-richard-sherman-doesnt-need-to-cover-no-1-recievers-to-be-nfls-best-corner

Here's a really crappy answer to that question that really doesn't answer the question, but just shows that it's kinda dumb to put a corner on one side if you truly believe said corner is one of the best. Basically, the Packers just wanted to put Boykins out there against Sherman because they didn't think Boykins would have much of an impact anyway. For that reason alone it's dumb to not have Sherman just cover the best receiver every time because the opposing team can always just go three wide if they only plan on targeting two receivers anyway, and that way, you leave yourself with those two options matched up against lesser corners.

I would hope Jimmy would begin to shadow the best/largest wide receiver on the opposing team because he has the rare size and speed to do that.

Webb questionable for the Bengals game ... Starting to wonder how serious that back injury really is. Seems similar to what was happening with KO last year ...

Can we stop arguing about people not even in the AfC North or Ray Rice who isn't even playing for weeks.

Pundits are coming around and more and more are picking us to won this game.

I'm excited to see the new offense take the field. Based on pre-season it was fantastic and I'm sure there will be more creative plays. They won't be as predictable as in the past. Joe is going to have a great year! Can't wait to for this game to start!

No bueno. We do better when everyone hates us

Man, I hated waking up to a notification from the Ravens that started with "Lardarius Webb (back)". Thankfully it was just an injury report listing him as questionable for game day, so hopefully he's good to go.

Ring of Honor one day?

Easily. I'm confident that Webb plays. Only questionable if it flares up as back injuries tend to do.

So, basically you made a pointless statement, that won't happen, with barely any basis? Got it

ESPN reported him as a go for the game. I think the Ravens are just putting it on their for precautionary reasons. Basically, he's going to play unless something happens, just won't be 100%

I just found a good answer to this.

If you can shut down the left side of the field, or the quarterbacks right, you gain a huge competitive advantage because most quarterbacks are right handed and would prefer to roll out to the right to throw. If the right is off limits, they have to roll out to the left and it's harder to reset, plant, and make a good throw. If they end up rolling out to the right, they're throwing across the field and possibly their body, and that's a big risk.

Basically, it might not be flashy, but it does actually serve a good purpose

Yeah I got the report from the Ravens twitter feed. It certainly is concerning that he didn't practice much or play at all in the pre-season, and now he's questionable. I just question whether he'd be ready to play this Sunday or how he feels physically.

Like I said, count on him playing, but definitely don't expect a shutdown performance.

We just need him to be out there, get his reps, and leave healthy. Leave Jimmy for the shutdown performance against AJ like he has always done.

Should be a good game. It'll be my first visit to M&T - really looking forward to this.

Enjoy the game - though I do hope you're unhappy at the end! :P

I would hope the Ravens would try to shadow in this game

I want a statement win forom the guys, sadly the NFL doesn't want shut outs anymore. But remember that 27-0 beatdown we laid on Tampa Bay in 2006? That's what I want to see, Crush these kittys! Make a statement!

36-7 Ravens....Lets kick butt, GAMETIME!

I hope Webb can go and if he does, he better not get smoked!

@Mili

realistically he hasn't practiced or played for a full month and he'll find himself matched up with one of the games best at times during the game. I think we can expect a few slip ups from Webb, you just hope they aren't major.

If i'm the Bengals I'm throwing at him early and often, then in the 4th quarter when his conditioning is being put to the test, i'm running double moves deep. It'll be interesting to see if Pees just allows Jimmy to shadow AJ, I would.

Well, that was the whole point of my post in saying that I hope he doesn't get smoked brah!  The man hasn't played at all as you mentioned and now we're hearing reports about stiffness in his back and he may be able to go etc.  That being the case; with very little practice time, I'd go straight at him early and often as well...as you mentioned!  Again, in that process; I hope he doesn't get smoked!  Cause whenever he does, he comes off looking like a scrub!

I actually predicted a 35-7 victory for the Ravens. The main two reasons is that they don't really know what to game plan on with our offense. Kubes will definitely have a great gameplan for us, but the Bengals have no idea what we'll look like. Do we go TE heavy? Do we feature Juice a lot? do we come out passing with 3WRs? What plays do we wanna run off of play action? I fully expect the Bengals to run blitz us a lot like the Redskins did, but I think Kubes will be more then ready for it.

The next reason is because we are home and if my first prediction holds true, the Bengals will fall behind early. I love our chances if Dalton has to put the game in his hands. Get a lead and allow the front 7 to hunt.

I said 36 to include FG's by Justin tucker for my fantasy team :)

I don't expect him to play a full game. I actually think we'll see a lot of Chykie Brown subbing for Webb. I actually wouldn't even be surprised to see Chykie start the game and Webb eased into action. I think Sanu is a good matchup for both Brown and Webb considering. He's more of an possession guy, so you pretty much know he'll stay in front of you.

Honestly I don't worry about their WRs. Jimmy has always had success against AJ, even going back to college. Green's numbers were inflated because of he fail mary last year, but other then that he struggles. So i'm confident there. As I mentioned Sanu being more of a possession guy suits both Webb and Brown. I'm more concerned about their TEs vs our Safeties and LBs. I think that'll be the matchup to watch in this game. If we can keep their TEs in check, we'll be fine.
