I gotta say SIMON played his butt off.

And i really do like Number 6, i know he was playing vs 2s and 3s but the guy makes plays , you just cant deny it.

P.S. im still kinda made they cut WILLIAMS #15 AGAIN

Yea Laquan is one of my favorites.. Just like the way he plays overall..

Just not a good enough WR overall

There are a few guys that really showed they belong on this team, but may not be enough space. The WR battle is the biggest. Between Aiken and Deonte, that is probably the final spot, and I have to say I think it goes to Thompson. He has just played too well this preseason, and has value on special teams as a kick returner. Camp is safe, we spent a pick on him, and he has done nothing wrong, and a lot of good this preseason, plus he too has special teams value. Aiken played very well at times especially in this last game, but didn't do a whole lot in the prior games, although it sounds like he had a very nice camp. I think he is the odd man out, and its a shame he can't go on the PS.

Hurst seemed to play really well too from what I saw, and I tried to watch a lot of him. He blocked very well and kept guys off the QB, I think we are going to have to find a spot for him, because we don't have a whole lot of depth at that position, and especially not someone that could play LT in a pinch. Simon was another guy that played well. He probably would have made the team anyway, but he had been very quiet, and it looks like he played without the hesitation he had been. The Running backs played well too, but I just don't think we are going to have room for all of them. I think Toussaint will be cut and hope we can stash him on the PS, maybe we can keep him until Rice is activated.

No idea where to put this so here it is..

First time I've opened a sports illustrated magazine since SB at least..

First page I open..

List of head coaches with different ranges of job security

First group..

"not.going.anywhere"

Which includes chuck pagano

Then

"Could be on the bubble with a bad season"

And john (and jim) Are in this group..

Why did I open this pathetic piece of wasteful crap..

And now I noticed it's by doug farrar... Bleh

I would of liked to see more of Fitzgerald Toussaint besides last night. Honestly, the one running back I've been disapppointed in the most this pre-season/off season is Pierce.

Well, aside from Rice ;)

What I love:

Ranking  #1 out of all team in rushing yards in the preseason

Our rookie and selections from last year

front 7

O-line: Not worred about Wagner at all. KO look dominating.

starting d-line. Ngata has returned to form, Jernigan looks great, Canty been solid, and I'm most impressed with Brandon Williams. Man's a beast.

Linebacking corp: bold prediction: best and deepest in the league. Bynes would be a starter on many teams, and he's our 4th backer. Mosely looks even better than promised. Brown has vastly improved. Smith continues to be the leader of the defense.

Receiver depth: This is probably the best depth we have ever had at receiver. Smith and Smith look like studs. Pitta is balling as usual. Jacoby is doing his thing (#3 reciver/deep threat/returner, he was a terrible #2) Camp, Aiken, and Thompson have impressed. Juice has been the best surprise how ever. i thought Kubiak may give him a good role, but the man should be a very important piece to this offense.

Running backs: Forsett looks like a decent dual threat (recieving/running) change of pace type guy. Pierce has looks like a viable starter. rice has looks better than last year by far in limited touches. But the man who has impressed me the most is Lorenzo Taliaferro. He has lead the league in preseason rushing. He is going to get some touches for sure. May have seemed like a reach in May, but seems to be a steal now.

Safeties: Elam, brooks, and Stewart have all looked good at safety. Hill should be a good pick up.

Last but not least: Gary Kubiak. Our offense just works. It hard to describe exactly, but I think the play calling and blocking is already much better.

What I hate:

Marlon brown: He has looked bad to say the least

Corners: not bad play, but with only 4 corners currently on the roster and the top 3 of them hurt for extended time during the preseason, corner could go from a strength to a weakness very fast. Smith has look very good when playing. Webb needs to get on the field.

Tyrod Taylor; we need a different back up Qb. He doesn't fit our system at all.

He's expendable when we have two starting caliber back-ups in McPhee and Dumervil (yes, I expect Upshaw to get the majority of the snaps this year, making him the starter)
