Preseason 4 - Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints

642 posts in this topic

Griffen is also throwing to Robert Meachem and Brandin Cooks and Tyrod has our #5 through 7 to work with... against Champ Bailey and Patrick Robinson. Its basically 2s against 3s.

Griffen is their #3 QB, not their #2. And just more excuses. Neither is playing first team defenses.

I mean, if you really want to be honest let's compare to the Saints' #2 - McGown - with a 136.2 rating.

Or Wenning who now has an 83.2 rating. Now a 71.7 - still higher than Taylor.

I don't expect him to look like Flacco out there or any other starter. But after 4 years, I expect him to look like the best back-up on the field, with only 1 or 2 exceptions. One of them being Cousins.

This is not an opinion shared by me

Neat. He doesn't drive the shoulder he loses a lot of power by not getting low IMO

Lol! He was also drafted by the Broncos the same year as Elway.

Elway was "drafted" by the Colts....  the Baltimore Colts....  but refused to play here.

Running high and not being physical are not the same thing. He does not shy away from contact and makes the opponent work to bring him down on every single play

He would have had to play for an Irsay, can you blame him?

Is having a whistle lodged in your vocal chords fatal?

Probably not, but it would sound very funny when you talk.

Air can transfer through.  As long as one of the holes ins't blocked, he'll survive.  #Science

Well, Robert Irsay was the owner and it took Bob all but one year to prove Elway right.

Just a technicality that I know all too well. I was at the first game Elway played in Bmore. The "Elway Sucks" chants were classic!

McCown threw 4 passes. That's not statistically significant. Tyrod was a 6th round draft pick and led all drives to points. That's ok. McCown is a 10 yr vet. Griffen threw against a secondary who all might not make the team.

6th round pick 4 years ago............. He's just not going to be a starter in this league, no matter the team. He is a serviceable backup.
