Preseason 4 - Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints

642 posts in this topic

Here's the thing:

Taylor 10/17 105 yds 1 TD 1 INT 71.9 rating

Griffin 6/11 88 yds 0 TDs 0 INT 80.9 rating

Both playing with 2nd/3rd string players. Both playing 2nd/3rd string defense.

One has been in the league 4 years and one is a rookie.

It just appears that with few exceptions, other back-ups, many rookies, look better than Taylor. After 4 years, I expect him to look the best back-up QB on the field without question.

One has also been riding the bench for 4 years and the other one is just entering the league!  C'mon now!  Smh!

Okay.  Thoughts on Wenning confirmed.  Hello PS.

A bit soon to judge don't you think? Those were decent passes to Gilmore while getting planted and to Thompson.

That said, I think he is headed to the PS no matter how he performs.

Come on camp...break out a big one

I like Camp returning balls but I wish we could see more of Thompson. If they shared the load we could compare the two.

It's been this way all camp for him.  Some good throws followed by some really bad ones.

Doesn't change the fact that Brees is still the first stringer, Luke McCown is the second stringer, and Griffin is the third and not getting nearly the reps that the others are. Griffin hasn't gotten the practice snaps that Tyrod has, the experience of the NFL, or actual NFL game snaps. Bad excuse

Excuses!  Game time doesn't make you a better player.  Practice does.

Griffen is also throwing to Robert Meachem and Brandin Cooks and Tyrod has our #5 through 7 to work with... against Champ Bailey and Patrick Robinson. Its basically 2s against 3s.

Can we get LT out of the game, please? He proved enough today and I don't want him to get hurt.

Fitz is the only other RB suited up.  Don't think they want to pile it all on one player.

Kubiak was an OC when Elway was playing!!! Holy crap!

Yeah that zone scheme in Denver when TD went off for 2,000 was partly Kubiak

Agree! His basically our #1 for Bengals game.

Pierce is definitely ahead of him and Forsett isn't playing in this game, which could mean he's ahead of Taliefaro as far as the first two weeks go, so he's basically not the number one.
