Preseason 4 - Baltimore Ravens at New Orleans Saints

Tyrod just isn't making any progress.

He is a backup playing with the second and third stringers. I think he has been doing OK. Some of his passes have been off, but he continues to make plays with his feet and he does not turn the ball over

Looks like we will finally get a lot of Wenning tonight.

That's gonna be interesting. TT was 10/17, but outside a really good opening drive, he didn't impress as a passer. Still a good scrambler, though. Not, that we didn't know that already. Same old Tyrod.

Keith Wenning?

Well guess we'll see..

Just dont understand what folks expect from our #2 QB. What is there in market(financially/via draft trade..?) if you are not satisfied with tyrod?

It's not like he's throwing against the first team Seahwks D out there and he's been in the league for 4 seasons. That's four seasons of training camps, OTAs and preseason games. I do think he should be showing some progress by now.

I would expect more in his 4th year.

My only complaint was that some of the throws that were off the mark. Other than that, he certainly is not costing us the game.

Don't know what you guys are talking about, I thought Tyrod did alright

Maybe not as impressive as his other performances but the thing I liked most was that he wasn't looking just to run. He ran a few times, and a couple to keep drives alive on third down, but he was throwing it around a little bit.

I can understand why people get frustrated with Tyrod, but at the end of the day, he moves the ball downfield and gets us in scoring position.  Is it conventional?  No, but it gets the job done.  Except for the INT, he's made some good decisions and he seems to be much more cognizant about taking care of the ball.

So no one wants to answer my question?

What is there in the market/via trade that we can bring to get this 'feasible' backup QB?

Please explain.

He looks the same as he did as a rookie.

Well lets see what Wenning can do. Maybe he will impress us tonight.

I think he's matured as a passer. Tyrod's early years we couldn't even evaluate bubble WRs because he'd either scramble or throw a bad pass up.

We have to rely on running the ball a bit too much. I don't know, if we'll be able to win games like this in the event, that Joe goes down. I would just like to see some improvement from TT's passing game.
