Team Name: Beauty & The Beast

PG: Dennis Johnson (The Best Teammate Bird Had, The Greatest Backcourt Defender)

SG: Jerry West (Mr. Clutch and The Logo)

SF: Rick Barry (The Original Point-Forward)
PF: Dennis Rodman (The Guy That Can Guard Any Position)
C: Shaquille O'Neal (The Most Dominant Force In NBA History)

SF/SG: John Havlicek (The GOAT Sixth Man)

C/PF: Dave Cowens (The All-Around Guy)

SG/SF:  Paul Pierce (The Truth)

SF/PF: Billy Cunningham (The guy who played fiercely, coached intensely, and won frequently)

PG/SG: Dave Bing (The guy who could do it all on and off the court)

PF/C: Dan Issel (Score Here,There, and Everywhere)

PG/SG: Jo-Jo White (Why Is He Not In The Hall Of Fame?)

-------------------------

Picks explained:

Shaq - Probably had the best peak in NBA history and his longevity is mad underrated. Bird wasn't available so I had to go with my plan B which is draft and build around a dominant center.

Jerry West - With Shaq being the dominant one inside, I wanted a guy who's dominant outside which made me think of picking West since one of his nicknames is Mr. Outside. And he is clutch and a great defender.

John Havlicek - An all-around guy, does everything great. One of the top defenders and top scorers in the game. A proven winner and many considered him as the greatest sixth man of all time.

Rick Barry - Like Hondo, he can also do everything great. Great defender (not as good as Hondo) but a better shooter and cut-to-the-basket guy. The original point-forward and had the most interesting free throw shot form.

Paul Pierce - He can shoot threes, slash to the hoop or pull up. A really difficult guy to guard since he had that complete offensive arsenal. Smart guy and a great defender too.

Dennis Rodman - He will be my lockdown defender and will usually guard the other team's go-to-go guy.

He can dominate the game with just his rebounding. With him on the team Shaq can focus more on offense like David Robinson did in his MVP year. Led the league 7x in a row in rebounding.

Dave Cowens - A hard worker, NBA's all time leader in defensive rebound per game (9.8). An energy guy, would be a great defensive duo with Rodman. He is also an all-around guy.

Dennis Johnson - The best backcourt defender said by Magic and the best teammate said by Bird.

The starting point guard of arguably the best team ever and a finals mvp before he joined the Celtics.

Billy Cunningham - A slasher and a great leaper which resulted to his great rebounding numbers.

A champion as a player and a coach. Great leader.

Dave Bing - I love picking guys who can do everything on the court.  "Bing may not have been the best at anything, but nobody was able to do as much as him." an NBA scout once said. He had the ability to score 35 a night but didn't since he wanted his teammates to get more involved, he knows what's best for the team.

Dan Issel - I had to pick a guy who can stretch the floor for Shaq when I want him to get wild on the opposing team's center. He has one of the greatest scoring abilities of all time, his moves looked weird but it sure was effective during his days. 9th in total points scored in the game of basketball.

Jo-Jo White - I had to pick another point guard to permanently put Jerry West in the shooting guard position since he is much better if he shared point-guard duties with someone like he did with Gail Goodrich. And since I have Hondo and Cowens bringing in the finals mvp is a great value for me.
