Stockton was on my short list. Nice value

Thank you kindly. I figured that with arguably two of the best scorers at their positions in Chamberlain and Baylor, a pass-first PG with the ability to defend and also stretch the floor via the three point shot would be an ideal fit. The acquisition will help Baylor as well since he often slashed to the cup and utilized the post-game. Stockton has obvious physical limitations, but he certainly makes up for it with his IQ. It helps that Chamberlain will be guarding the paint should Stockton allow his assignment to blow by him. I personally consider Stockton to be one of the best PGs of all time, so I'm pleased with the selection. It was a tough choice, however, and I imagine that most will be.

Stockton was the guy I was curious about. If I'd gone Malone in the second, he would have been my top choice for the third.

Ah, a potential reunion was in the work. Good to hear that he was near the top of your list at this point as well.

And the 2nd player I was surprised was still there is now gone. Well done.

Thank you. I was hoping that you were referring to him. Good taste.

Also, is this the third night in a row we've landed on Birdest around 1030-1100pm? Weird coincidence. Guess I'll see you all in the morning.

I wanted to say how they were both on the same team but I felt it would be too obvious.

Good call. I may be overlooking some other duo, but it probably would have been.

Point guards are the value picks so far.

I feel like the top tier at PG (outside Magic) is bigger than the top tier of other positions. Be interesting to see where the next big run comes from though - looking at my board I have a couple of guesses.

Yeah, and I'd have taken him over Payton and Thomas. Though, as with the PFs, I think that depends on what you want out of the position.

Even better to hear then. I had the others on my list, but Malone was very high for me. I don't want to say that he fell because of how deep this class is, but he was very good value where you got him.

Let's keep this thing up to date so I can better see how people's rosters are turning out.

Hey. Is there a chance that you could delete this post from the Directory and Rosters thread? It's a quality post, but we've would ideally prefer to keep that thread clean from any remarks as we have in the past with similar threads.

Only if you don't make it look like my second-round pick has been forfeited. :P

I am genuinely confused.

Not a huge deal, there's just a blank spot by my name in the big board, haha.

Invisible ink. Had to wash it off.

Deleted. I just thought that thread could use a bump because it was being buried and forgotten about. Every now and then it needs a new post to move back up to the top, and people editing their own posts won't move it back up.

My favorite Philly athlete of all time. I'm fighting everyone's size with my speed. Also, historians of the game will certainly appreciate the value of the Havlicek pick just before me.

Iverson and Magic in the same backcourt is the stuff of highlight reel legend, and maybe enough for ESPN to stop talking about Johnny Manziel for a few minutes.

Havlicek's a nice pick too.

Thank you. I knew the intention and it's appreciated. Don't worry. We typically bump this thread after every GM has posted their roster.

And there goes my favorite player to watch of all time in Allen Iverson. I'm glad I was accurate in my prediction of him going within the next 5.

Magic and AI? *head explodes*

I still don't understand how Dirk went before Karl Malone

This x1000000

Karl Malone should've top 15 without hesitation..

Truths team has my favorite top 3.. Could change after next round lol

Kind of thinking the same. Who's the best point guard to match up with two top five ppg scoters? How about the all-time leader in assists.

(But my team still rules the highlights. Haha)

I wanted him all along, and I didn't think I would pull the trigger for another round, but SAM scared me by starting to pick all the other greats drafted in the late 90s.

I'm pretty sure he chose Dirk not because Dirk is better but a better compliment to Kareem and Charles by stretching the defense with his range.

I agree with this, but just imagine how bada-- it would have been up front with three bruisers like Kareem, Chuck and Karl. I think both choices work for his team.

Wasn't knocking the dirk pick itself as much as Karl should've been long gone imo..

But Kareem/Malone/Barkley sounds very interesting..

Some serious rebounding going on there
