I agree that one game doesn't change a season but he did play very well today. The long TD run was big but I remember two good plays he had. He had a nice 10-yard burst to get the team into better FG position. He also had a play where he ran right, cut upfield, ran over a corner, and then got extra yards. People have questioned his hear and his ability all year. I think he showed the type of player he is today.
1 game isnt going to change a whole season.

I think he had a hell of a game though.
This game DID change Willis' season... he's definitely back, and now we can count on him the rest of the way if Rice continues to be hampered, and even after Rice comes back, this 3-headed monster is about to get even more ferocious!

I've been disappointed with him this season, but I felt he helped us a lot tonight. He can still help us the rest of the season. We all know the cap ramifications if we cut him, so let's hope he can do what he is capable of and help us win more games this season, and next.

O...M...G...umm... McGahee, I'm sorry for under estimating you... I did get your autograph at the SFF this year, if that helps lol. :D

I was a McGahee hater this season, because of his slack in the off season. If he continues to prove himself like today, I will jump on the McGahee wagon again.

Other than that Romo did give me 24pts, Mason gave me 15pts in my fantasy football championship game. Also McGahee gave me 20pts on the bench <_<

Anyways our running game dominated at the end...WOW!

I agree, although that was pretty cool to watch. I think this was a huge confidence booster to McGahee but we will have to see how he does next week and hopefully in the playoffs.
one long run doesnt make someone have a great game
How about the clutch runs before the end of the first half when he set up the field goal to give us the first lead of the game?

He played well all day. So did Mcclain.

Flacco had some good moments but overall I was pretty disappointed by him fumbling twice. It seems every time he gets hit he loses the ball, which is why we lost that game in Pittsburgh earlier this year.

That said he's a rookie and is playing against top defenses, so I can be a bit forgiving. =P

I know, I know...The fact is though he lost us more games than he won us. I still think he has alot to prove for Baltimore. 1 game doesn't justify his performance all year(Even though this game meant alot).

I want to see more of the McGahee like I've seen today. Hats off to him today without a doubt! :D

atleast he admitted he jumped on the wagon. my girl has been giving me stuff for saying mcgahee needs to ride the pine. she was in her jersey tonight and when he started playing good she sounded like i was a cowboys fan LoL. im really happy he had a good game but i still think he needs to get healthy. i feel the same way with mason because we really need them.

:) proud to say i supported him the whole time, all though frustrating i told everyone they need to stick behind their player. Great boost late in the season and it will be good if he can continue for the rest of the year.

I think Willis needs to be used right, Billick actually knew how to use him. 15 short carries in the first half and then Willis tears up defenses for 10 yard chunks in the second half.

I hope you haters do jump on the bandwagon because i like supporters not nay sayers.

That wasnt really Willis' great run, it was the great blocking by the o-line, they got a great push and opened up the hole for McGahee, sure McGahee ran but anyone can run, dont take me for hating McGahee because ive stood by him all year and he ran hard tonight on some plays but it wasnt his brilliance that set up the TD

McClain however trucked over one guy, Stiffed armed another and ran to the house, he deserved that TD but the o-line did another exceptional job, Chris Chester put on a great block on one of the runs, cant remember what one though

I'm a Ravens fan - all the Ravens. But to address the issue/topic, one run does not a player make. I wish McGahee the best and I know the staff will play the best player(s) when they're needed.

It's great to see McGahee carrying the ball with some authority again. I'm just hoping this is a prelude to some greater success in the playoffs. The fact remains though that I'm still pissed at his lack of effort and taking plays off, just like Heap. Both seem to be completely nonexistant on passing plays when they are required to block. Once again, both Heap and McGahee messed up passing plays by letting their man get to Flacco untouched. I'm really getting tired of it.

I think he is happy that he was finally able to prove himself, Like I've said ever since he started not doing so good. Give him 1 more year and then if he still isnt executing, then we can get rid of him. After last night he is definatly helping his cause, lets hope he takes it into the playoffs.
I agree. I've been hard on him, too. And though I still think he needs to be more consistent, if he can earn more carries through his play, then he'll be back as the starter in no time.

We'll need him in the playoffs. So, let's hope that his benching and poor play has been a blessing in disguise.
To emphasize what I said earlier, I also think he needs to improve in pass protection.

That one BIG sack he gave up when he completely missed the blitzing linebacker was just plain ugly. Flacco didn't even have time to run away 'cause he was hit as soon as he dropped back and the blitzer was completely untouched.

A nice few blocks he blew a lot of blocks also. One of them Flacco took a shot in the redzone

Was the the one in the redzone? If so, that was definitely not on Willis, the guy came in unblocked and was a foot in front of Flacco as soon as he snapped the ball. Willis was about 5 yards out and couldn't do a thing about it, I pin that one on Jason Brown or Chester.

If it's not what your talking it, forget what I said lol

I have not... and WILL not give up on Willis McGahee. He was one of the only things going for our offense when our O was in the crapper last year and you simply can't drop a guy due to one bad (injury laden) season. Give this guy the offseason to heal up, rest, get in shape and you saw tonight what he's capable of. That said, I would like to see a guy like him show up to the OTA's and all of training camp. Imagine our three-headed monster next year with big leron, a healthy willis, and a "not so rookie" ray rice? I hope we keep and use all three in the future.

Great game to Willis and all of the Ravens!!!

McGahee did avoid three tacklers going for his feet.

Heap doesn't choose to be a blocker, the announcer said it themselves Heap is a better route runner. Did you see his route running abilities in the pass couple of games sick.

It was the guards duty to pick up the inside rush. The line should have slid leaving McGahee with the outside rusher, most likely Ware but still would have been given more time. With no Line Backer possibly a TE open in the endzone.

even a stray dog gets a bone every now and then... until he can be consistent i wont jump on the bus. i still think he is being payed way to much and we traded more for him than he was worth.
