Jeez, the amount of penalties is ridiculous

Definitely but this is not on refs. New rule is in, everybody has to follow it.

The only way I see this resolved is introducing extra consequences for repeat offenders/repeat mistakes. Similar to 10min off the field if you get a yellow card. And you get a yellow card if your team mates have made the same foul few times previously but you were dumb enough to do it again.

How many flags were just on Taylor? HA! Made my night.

Steelers first team didn't really look good on any side of the ball tonight. We can only hope that is a sign of things to come.

Steelers gave up 482 yards tonight....Sheeezzzz

Gotta love that improved Steelers OL, though. :D Not like it really matters. Ben was off even when the OL did well. Good times to be a Ravens fan. :P

Kelly isn't an offensive mastermind. His system is beatable but too loaded with talent to actually do it. Hell. Their offensive depth is insane.

"The Steelers didn't sustain a lot of injuries, but the two that were announced are worth watching. Linebacker Sean Spence left the game in the third quarter with a right knee injury and outside linebacker Jason Worilds didn't play again after hurting his right knee in the same quarter. Worilds may have been the Steelers' best defensive player before getting hurt. Of course that's not saying much considering that the Steelers gave up just under 500 yards of total offense."

I really don't like the Eagles. .but watching the Steelers 1's get plowed by their 2nd string was priceless

Tomlin kept their 1's in until almost the end of the 3rd quarter. It wasn't until then, against the Eagles 2nd string D that the Steelers scored a touchdown. Antonio Brown was literally showboating after he caught 2 passes..one matched up against a 2nd string OLB and the other on a rookie corner....WHAT A TOOL.

Btw, I think Mark Sanchez is the Eagles starting quarterback by the end of the year.

I can't believe how sharp Sanchez looked. He was definetly a good pick up for Kelly. Mark had potential coming out of college, but he came out too early and was thrown into a very poorly run organization (albeit one, that surrounded him with talent early in his carreer coughManzielcough). It's still too early to make any predictions, because it's still only the preseason, but Sanchez (I can't believe I'm saying this right now) might be a HUGE steal for the Eagles.

"Zomg, we need Brent Kiesel back!" LOL

Loved seeing the Steelers get dominated every which way. Roethlisberger looked clueless out there some of the 'miscommunications' were just awful passes.

NFLN did a turrible job of producing the game. Show the replay, not the schedule for the 30th time!

I didn't see much of the game and haven't been paying attention to the Steelers.  How are Shazier and Tuitt doing?

Re announcers, what little I did see of the game, whoever is doing the play-by-play doesn't seem to realize he's supposed to speak.  Almost seemed like he was lost.  I was too mystified by that to notice if Warner was any good or not.  I do disagree about QBs being bad analysts.  I think at least Aikman and Simms are good.  Haven't seen enough of Fouts, though I do recall him being wayyy too much of a Chargers homer to be allowed to call one of their games.  He was dreadful whenever that was that he last called the Ravens-Chargers game.

I don't think so, he's not fit for the read option. He's not a threat at all to run.

Shazier didn't play in the 1st preseason game.  However, he was everywhere in the 2nd game.  Excellent game. Last night he had an avg game. Name wasn't called that much but their Def on a whole played pretty bad last night.  Gave up almost 500 total yds.

Is Foles a threat to run?

I would say so.  In this highlight video he had some very nice runs.  Granted he's no Vick, but I think he's more of a running threat than Sanchez

Wow, Manning almost threw an awful INT. I don't think Eli is going to rebound this year. Still the same old Eli.

Rebound from what? His mediocre seasons are the outliers.

Blake Bortles looks pretty good. The Jaguars should just start him right away. Forget about Henne! The future is now!!!

I am glad they snapped him up, rather than letting him fall to Cleveland (although, I don't know that they would have taken him anyway). Still, glad that Manziel is in our division rather than Bortles. Bortles was definitely the best in class QB.

I said it last week, somehow the Jaguars outsmarted Cleveland and Minnesota who drafted bench warmers while they got a day one starting QB. If Bortles keeps this up, considering how weak the AFC South is, if they can upset Indy just once, I can't believe I'm saying this but they may end up being Division/Wild Card contenders this year.

So after spanking the Broncos by putting 43 points up in the Super Bowl, the Seahawks offense continues to be red hot. The Seahawks may have the most balanced team in the league. Great offense, great defense and great special teams.

Just as I said what I said....

Henne named Week one starter..... *Ultimate Facepalm*

Sucks for the Jaguars, they are the first team to play the Eagles in Philadelphia. Not saying there was a chance that streak could be restarted after San Diego broke it last year but still lol.

Or.......maybe we did lol. Because the stipulation for the "blessing" in Philly had to be that the first team won in Philly on their home opener. Even though we lost and ended up winning the Super Bowl...we ruined it for San Diego. Oh well.....

I saw enough of the Pats Panthers game to see their DEs destroy the Panthers OTs. Could be a long season for Carolina
