I AM LEGEND

What was the bigger mistake?

Fitz was drafted in 2004.  Boldin mad the pro bowl in 2003 as a rookie and finished 3rd in the nfl in receptions behind Holt and Moss.  Boldin had 101 receptions and almost 1400 yards - the next guy on the Cardinals that year had 55 receptions and about 500 yards.  Boldin holds the rookie record for most receptions and is second in rookie receiving yards, first if you're counting only post-merger stats.

Dude, can you not detect even the faintest hint of sarcasm? Does my phrasing of the statement you highlighted not suggest this? I know this is the internet but you need to read between the lines and think about why things are phrased the way they are. How in the world did this fly over your head?

"Fitz made Boldin the man he is today, matter of fact, we should thank Fitz for helping us win a ring while were at it.

It's no argument! You're right! Mohammed was nice but Smith still drew the majority of the attention defensively.

Not to the degree of the beast he became when Fitz showed up. At least not to me!

Well, based on what he put on the field and his stats, Boldin was in fact being Boldin before Fitz came into the league.

It was one year. We have no proof he'd keep it up

Ha, okay. Fitz made Boldin and the record breaking rookie season was a fluke.

We have no proof he'd keep it up. Plenty of players have flamed out after one year

Except he kept the same stats with Fitz as he did without.

Arizona was an extremely prolific passing offense. In 2008, they had three 1000 yard receivers, one of them being Breaston. Think he was any good?

But, no, for the most part, his catch numbers dropped into the 80's, but his yards per catch went up. Any coincidence that you get a player who can attack all levels of the field, especially the deep portions, and things open up underneath?
