apparently Gaither isn't the only Raven that can play with one arm! Gotta give Mason mad props. I thought Ray Lewis was the toughest player on this team, but now I'm not so sure. Mason is one tough SOB

Mason has really "manned up" tonight. Hope he doesn't further injure himself. He is Joe's favorite target. We're on top at the half - that's good news! Hope Romo continues to throw the ball LOL Reed will eat him alive. Joe's had too many sacks tonight. Hope our O line regroups during the half. Go Ravens

He should have been taken out of the damn game a long time ago.

There was no reason to put in Mason when we obviously weren't going to score and the guy was dying on the field.

1) it's great to see Reed as Romo's favorite target.
2) what's happened to our blocking assignments? worst attempts at blocking ive seen from the unit all season long.
3) i've always been a fan of McGahee, but enough is enough. put him on IR already. you could train a monkey to run the ball better. he usually at least gives it his all, but tonight he's looking dead out there.
4) Koch, yet another great performance so far

I don't care whether Mason is a true #1 receiver or not, this guy is a warrior. He has played through the pain for majority of the year and played his heart out tonight. The catches and the TD were huge but that fumble recovery may have put us in the post-season. I hope he retires a Raven.

I don't know if they have given out the Ed Block Courage award yet, but D Mase is 1st on my list...he is an AMAZING and totally UNSELFISH player and definitely a hero for the way he has played this season....and the one handed catch in the endzone tonight against the Cowboys is just totally awesome!!!

Ed Reed was already given the award. But, Mason would definitely be near the top of my list, too.

I've never seen anything like that performance by Mason out there tonight. He deserved the game ball AND a purple heart. You could see his left arm just hanging there by his side while he was running his routes; you could see him wincing in pain; but he stepped up and brought it. If it were a middle weight fight, the ref would have stopped it. I just hope he can be ok next week so we can get into the post season.

I've always liked Mason, but tonight's game made me love Derrick Mason. He played four quarters with a dislocated shoulder. I've had a dislocated shoulder, and it sucks. The pain is constant, the shoulder will fall out again, and you know it's not going to stay in. The man showed nothing but heart and determination to stay in the game and produce. His touchdown catch, you could see him just trying to keep his shoulder up, so as to not let it fall out. He's been the backbone of the Ravens receivers corps that doesn't get recognition due to it's lack of "look at me" receivers. It goes beyond being underrated, he is flat out neglected in the national media. I just want to throw it out there to number 85, your diligence and work ethic has not gone unnoticed.

Its a given that Mason is a soldier!

Actually, I think he wants that Super Bowl ring more than anything right now. He knows he is close to his end and he will do anything possible to help our team get there.

Mason should get some type of reward this year for his efforts of playing day in day out with his injuries...

This have been mentioned in a few others threads, but i will agree with what u are sayin. However i will take it a few step farther and give big ups to W. Anderson, A. Terry, W. McGahee, and F. Washington, because they all overcame some type of injury to play in this game. Not to mention J. Gaither who pretty much shut down the best pass rusher in the game(we have said that pently times this season) with one good arm. This Ravens TEAM showed heart and i'm proud of them.

I always knew Mace was tough, and had heart....but what he did tonight, on a national stage, on this occasion...I don't even want to try to describe it because anything that I could think of would only undermine what he did.
Just amazing...

He has always been my idol... I watch him and play like him. People always be like... Why dont you watch a good reciever? I just blow it off... I was after all our leading JV reciever.... As a freshmen.
I mainly like his route running, I watch him run his routes and try to duplicate them.

Derrick Mason is hands down the best receiver we have ever had. He is the ultimate professional and plays his heart out. The man is a true warrior on the field, and he makes great catches and fights for all of his yardage. He might not have breakaway speed, but when he is one on one with a corner he can juke him out with the best of them. I love him.
