Preseason 2 - Baltimore Ravens at Dallas Cowboys

I've used that Cartman gif before but I feel like I'd get in trouble if I did it here considering what was just said lol

Same here, I would have used it but given the circumstances it didn't seem like a good idea.

I had the perfect meme for "But Mom" as well, but I figured that wouldn't go down well

Good move...  LOLOL...  appreciate your sentiment and your restraint.

The next stress test for the O-Line is my main concern along with the depth at DB.

Haven't the cowboys got a decent O-line after drafting Zach Martin and other rookie linemen in recent years?

Glad the Ravens were getting players and personel from the Texans and not from the Cowboys over the years.

not really much of a stress test considering who we are facing, that cowboys Defense is absolute trash, and that's the first team defense, I assume its even worse as you go down

im not saying that its going to be a walk in the park but if they perform good or bad tonight you have to take it with a grain of salt

Even the Cowboys are concerned about it.  That's always so encouraging.

Now, serious football talk.  I hope Chykie Brown shows me some semblance that he knows what he's doing tonight.

yeah, im not saying its going to be a walk in the park, I mean this is still the nfl, even the worst can do damage if given the chance (with the exception of Gabbert of course), but like you said, they aren't particularly thrilled either

I really want to see more Jeremy Butler, I loved what I saw against the 49ers, this kid looks like an absolute gem. Go ahead and add another to Ozzy's crown, the king of steals

as far as Chykie goes - I really want him to get his act together, but as a whole ive always been hot and cold about him. Ive been a fan of Asa before he was even drafted (I'll be it I thought he would make a great guy to convert to FS before the draft to follow in Reeds footsteps but still a fan nonetheless), im hoping he continues to lock down that #3 spot

He's got a battle for the roster, but it's not impossible.  Aiken is clearly ahead of him, and despite a rough camp, it seems that Thompson is ahead of him for the time being as well.

im just caught up in that TD pass from last week where (whether he was already in or not) he reached out with one arm across the line, that to me showed a lot, very heads up play and great body control, that's the kind of guy you can count on to get it done

EDIT: as well as fantastic awareness, he knew exactly where that line was and he went for it

I've learned to never fall in love with a UDFA (except Tucker).  Too many guys do well to the fan's eye, but get cut to never be heard from again.

I see Campanero, Aiken and Butler all battling for 2 spots as the 5th and 6th WRs.

I wouldn't say clearly, but he's definitely coming on really strong

honestly I try not to fall in love with them as well but this guy I just have a feeling about, I think if given the chance he can really turn heads. I think at some point the preseason he and Aiken will run with the ones, like Marlon and Mellette last year (last game to give the #1 WRs a rest), I really hope they make that happen, then we can see who is for real

I want to see:

- no injuries

- that 250+ rushing yards wasn't a fluke last week.

- our defensive front not let up for the entire game

- heaps more from backup offensive linemen

- how are we going to use Brooks

Ellerbe and earlier Bart Scott worked out pretty darn well too ;)

Doesn't look like NFL Network will break to the Ravens game...  Even though the Packers have this one in the bag easily....
