Very sad news. I teared up a little when reports came up about it being a suicide. I wish his family well and RIP Robin Williams.

Usually celebrity deaths just get an "Oh, that sucks," from me, but this one actually kinda hurts.

When you throw in Good Will Hunting, that's also my adulthood.  Plus his standup was hilarious, his Live on Broadway is one of my favorite acts of all time.

Yeah this is a tough one.  Most celebrity deaths up to this point have been people that never really impacted me, but Robin Williams' movies were childhood favorites.

Yeah this one is tough for me.

He was a great comedian and actor. His ability to improv. is amazing.

He struggled with mental health issues, which is a matter close to my heart.

Today the world is just a little bit less funny and interesting.

I'm hearing he hung himself which sucks, some people just assume fame and fortune = always being happy but really it couldn't be further from the truth for some people especially comedians.

Was just talking about Hook with my sister yesterday...so sad that he provided others with so much happiness but couldn't find it for himself. RIP.

Very sad indeed. As a kid, Hook was one of my favorite movies, and it still makes me laugh to this day.

Really sucks, there really was nobody like him. Manic comedic genius and talented actor, in retrospect his dramatic work is incredible.

I was up all nite to watch all Robin Williams' comedy stand ups and some of his classical movies; I didn't really appreciate his comedy until he has passed away.  I missed him, his comic genius and acting.

His comedy legacy is forever remembered......sad days for those who enjoy laughing......

RIP, Robin Williams......

For any and everyone that has seen Aladdin......  You gotta admit this was PERFECT....

yeah, from the picture, it gave me a sense that RW is finally free, deep down in his soul: his ongoing depression and such......

It's a relief for him, but a burden sadness from those who love his comedy and acting.....

I am still stunned by this tragic news - to me, Robin Williams was a man of such varied talents, and to hear of his passing just stuns me.

I knew he was battling his own personal demons, yet I never expected his end to come in this manner.

Rest In Peace, Robin Williams.  You will be missed.

MORK is back traveling the galaxy. Fisher King was his best work IMHO.

Agreed.  Nice pick. The Fisher King is currently ranked as my 23rd favorite movie on my flickchart.   Williams is fantastic in it.

Considering the situation, What Dreams Might Come seems to be extremely relevant to the discussion.  A very powerful movie about death, heaven/hell, and suicide.  I've always enjoyed that film and him in it.   Recently, I've enjoyed him in The World's Greatest Dad.

Williams has always struggled with addiction and depression.  Its even tougher when you're a celebrity.  He will be greatly missed.  Between him and PSH, its been a tough year.

Extremely sad and why mental health is not something to be taken lightly. Hook and Jumanji were some of my favorite movies as a kid.

I'll always remember him from Good Will Hunting.

one of my favourite all time movies. Only movie I've ever bought of iTunes. Had a craving for it about a year ago and couldnt find it anywhere online of netflix so paid 15 quid for it.
