The fear with players from Division II schools is can they make the transition. The talent gap is already big between Division I and the pros. If the player can just hold his own early in his career is a really good sign and Williams has done more than just hold his own. I see his career path going the same route Webbs did. Lets just hope its minus the injuries.

Haven't seen a NT just penetrate through the C so consistently in a long time for this team.  He blows up run plays half the time by himself because the C is chasing him into the backfield and it leaves the ILBs there to clean up.

I can't wait to up Timmy and Urban along side him. Those are three explosive guys and even KLM if he recovers well from his second major knee injury. Then on the outside you have Upshaw and Mchpee with a high draft pick at OLB I'm sure, while CJ and Art man the middle. This front 7 should be dominate for a long time and it'll start up the middle with BW.

I'm pumped to see Urban in action.  He was my man crush at camp this year.

It'll be a really interesting combination if those two can stay healthy.  I don't think we'll ever see what KLM could have been, which is unfortunate because I think he would have been a solid addition to a starting Dline, but with Jernigan you essentially have the penetrating DT in a 43 defense, just in a 34.  Urban has your length and size and should be capable of shedding blocks easily because of his arm length.  Add in Williams penetrating ability at NT and you have a very dynamic line in a few years.

Why don't you think we'll ever see what Lewis-Moore can be? Just think he's the DL equivalent of Webb except more frequent? Lol. A made-of-glass DL? He's had some unfortunate injuries, that's for sure.

Thought it was a ruptured/torn achilles?

Haha, more frequent than Webb isn't a label I'd want thats for sure.  Just with a blown knee, an ACL no less, and an achilles rupture, you have to wonder how much explosion is left in that lower half.

As much as I love Williams, I think Poe is the more impactful player. Don't have a ton to back that up, just sort of my impression that Poe has a little more burst and gets down the line better.

My bad didn't mean to write it as that type of comparison. I just more so was focused on how neither was used or productive in their rookie years. And made tremendous improved in their second year. Last year Poe really stepped up big for Chiefs. I haven't watched any of their games this year to see his impact. But based on where Poe was drafted and "the potential" it wouldn't be fair to place B.Williams in the same light. He was a third rounder from a small school.

Both are quickly learning how to turn that weight room strength into on field leverage.

Clarence Brooks is a very good coach

Your right, it doesn't seem to matter who we put on the line we get production

if urban were to pan out, then we have a very dangerous 3 man front, and thats not even counting the LB's. a guy as big and strong and lengthy as urban can wreak havoc when you need a 2 man block on the NT, if he is singled up with a LT while the LG and C try to handle williams, then all he needs is a nice bullrush to reach up or reach around and harass the qb, and if jernigan is on the other side, good luck handling him 1v1, he is too strong and athletic, hes got footwork like a top flight rb, some major brute strength, and he can slide through or bullrush, whatever the situation calls for, with jernigan and williams we have 2/3 down lineman who need 2 blockers, and if urban can be the same way, then our OLB's will have a field day, for now, ngata is playing the best ball he has in years, and a healthy jernigan will make this a formidable d line, sizzle and doom should start racking em up now that our DL is back and healthy.
