Brandon Williams will have to have his own nickname if h breaks out like we all expect him to do this year.

Something to do with the handstand would be cool

A good point actually. The Ravens, Flacco especially, have a history of looking great, even against great defenses, one week and then following up with a bad performance the next week, sometimes even against bad defenses. I'm still blaming Cam and his playbook for that, so maybe playing against the Cowgirls D won't be such a waste of time after all. Just them (again, especially Flacco) playing really well week in week out and up to expectations will show us that we're moving in the right direction.

I say, we get to see two drives by the first team offense, that will go for TDs (passing TDs).

Not saying it won't happen, but I don't think it will happen to the same effect it did in the past.  With Kubiak's system, it really feels like if guys do their job on a play, they'll pick up some yardage.  With its innate simplicity, it seems like there's alot less checks and balances, which players love.

Handstander, Armwalker, Beast Walker, B-Train Any of those sound good?

I like the Juggernaut, since he's built kind of like him

I guess we could yell out Juggs wen he makes a play. We might have to yell the whole name out it could have unintended results if we did my suggestion.

I'm terrible at nicknames

Too mainstream.

The Janitor from his days as a bathroom cleaner would work. It's because he mops the floor with NFL linemen ;)

LMAO!  Crush Davis is in danger of becoming Crumble Davis.

I think his main issue physically was more balance than leverage, he would lose balance and fall over more regularly than you want to see from a NT. I'm hoping he's worked it out, the leverage part will come sooner rather than later.

he naturally plays really low.  seems to be comfortable down there

Mark my words those saying he wont do much ..... seen many non ravens fans say oh he came from a div 3 school..... so did Joe ... as for a nickname ,   he plays low is built wide and when he latches on to you you go down ,  B-Dog  BullDawg would be my two votes

Yeah he's short so it's built in, which makes it seem strange when he loses leverage. Maybe we should bring Kelly Gregg back to teach him the finer points since they're a similar height...

Come to think of it, just bring Gregg back and induct him to the Ring of Honor already... he was the anchor for a decade of stonewall defense.

Kelly Gregg is by far our most under appreciated raven.  At least i think

I always thought Kelly Gregg was drafted by the Ravens in 2001. Just realized he was drafted by the Bengals, then went to the Eagles, then came up through the Ravens practice squad. Interesting...

Anyway, I think Williams & Jernigan can be the next anchors of our line at NT & 3tech DT. It was great having Gregg at NT and Ngata at DT for so many years.

Urban/KLM - - Williams - Jernigan - McPhee/Draft is the future I think.

I witnessed a handful of plays where he was standing his man up at the point of attack.  That's really all you can ask for but he somehow was shedding blocks and penetrating the line.  Wow

I like Brandon Williams at NT for three reasons:

1. Its nice to a young player with his physically gifts step up. He'll be a beast.

2. It make us able to move Ngata to DE, which sounds keep him healthy because he will face slightly less double teams.

3. We have lost a ton of D-line depth with season ending injuries to KLM and Urban.

A Brandon doing a handstand....

Brand-stand? And then when he makes a play on 3rd or 4th and  goal we can call it a goal line Brand-stand.

I was hoping Brandon Williams would become the second coming of Sam Adams, but I'm not really sure if his strength is football functional quite yet. This year will tell us a lot about Brandon.

He will be fine. A few plays I thought he was too high in his stance but once that gets fixed and he's lower like ngata it'll free up Mosley

So Arthur Brown is officially behind Mosely on the depth chart? i like Brown he slices through the opposition with fluidity

That was essentially football school! Thanks.

No problem. A lot of good articles there. I will post a link to a few others in the Terrance Brooks thread. I like the analytical articles more than the strictly opinionated ones...

The worthless ones*. I really like how Brandon is looking so far and he's going to have to really play well since we can't count on Terrence Cody. That article combined with him speaking on how he's developed has left me sure our line won't be a problem despite injuries. There are a lot of good articles on that site(I've been brushing up on stuff for a Madden league) and more usage of "all 22" analysis is only going to make the fan base better.
