almost half our snaps are nickle and webb is injury prone

He is injury prone but you also can't predict those things, when you have a pair of pro bowl calibre CB's it would have been questionable to take another 1st round CB.

Exactly. It would have been silly to pass on Mosley who looks to be an immediate impact, high level player.

Especially when Daryl Smith is a 10 year vet and the jury is still out on Arthur Brown. Its hard to pass on a plug and play LB like Mosley who looks like an absolute stud.

when you have a corner that has two acls in three years you have to add depth. Again, id venture to say our 3rd corner could be on the field as much as our 2nd mlb this year.

Yeah thats hard to argue, a CB w/ 2 ACL's is a scary thing. Thats a safe assumption, we will be running a lot of nickel this year simply for the fact most teams have 3 WR's on the field most of the time now. But we can also use 3 safeties as well ..

We're ok this year at CB with Webb/Smith and Asa/Brown/whoever, but the thought of losing either for any amount of time is scary. So I do see your point with Dennard, who is a stud. Im just praying a vet CB gets cut somewhere around the league and we can pick him up.

I think it would had being scary to lose Webb or Smith even if we had drafted a cornerback in the first or any round in  this year draft. Most of the time young rookie cornerbacks aren't playmakers right away.

I wish we could see more out of these WRs we've been hearing so much about. This back up O line hasn't given the back up QBs much time at all. At first I thought there might be a reason for Tyrod to be worried about Wenning booting him off the team, but Wenning looked scared out there.

I actually thought Aaron Ross was a good move, albeit an uncertain one.  DBs are at a premium, and things really didn't break our way this year.

True, but they would have more talent than Chykie and all the UDFAs.... It wouldn't hurt as bad.

I'm really interested in Ricky Wagner. I think he's playing too crucial a position to be anything less than good. I loved how they got him some experience as an extra blocker in certain formations(worked wonders in madden too) but after now he's going to have a lot of pressure on him and due to his lack of strength I'm wondering if his agility is enough to make up for it. This guy needs to have his own preseason ticker because if he's not above average to good I think our entire offense will collapse. I have high hopes for Jensen but its clear he isn't ready yet so Wagner will be the guy.

Jensen isn't even in the T conversation, and Wagner has been more than alright.  He looked great in the first game for sure.  He took a step back in the previous game, but he was still solid.  It's also worth pointing out that pretty much everyone on the offense took a step back.  I'm more than comfortable with Wagner at RT.  His play in camp and in games has completely eased my concerns.

Jensen isn't as of right now but he's a guy that can play every position on the line and I have no doubt he would have a shot if Wagner didn't work out. I'm not comfortable with a guy who hasn't fully started and held up in the trenches. What little we've seen of his play in camp and in games has not eased my concerns. I'm hoping the next game can shed some more light on him.

Jensen was moved back to G full time, and might not even make the team.  Reid is the clear backup at RT.

I really liked Jensen but man he had a tough time against the 49ers. He got bullrushed, missed a few blocks. Tank Carradine I believe it was him got a lot of fun. He is  clearly not ready. He spent all last year on the active roster despite his broken foot on something like that so they might like him a lot.

But right now Wagner is ahead and Jensen isnt playing Tackle anymore. Jensen will need to add strength and work his technique thats for sure. He won't play a lot this season : Shipley, Gradkowski and Reid are the backups imo

Thats really starting to concern me

Me as well.  I know Harbaugh has adopted the "vet day off" policy, but 3 practices and a game, and they still maintain he's not hurt?  "Soreness," as they're calling it, sounds like a cop out to me.  He may know the offense but he has all new teammates.

Yeah, soreness in the legs is what I heard and he missed part of last season with a broken leg.  Not good.

I think I know Ozzie's strategy. He knows that after the Seahawks crushing the Broncos in the super bowl, the NFL will be a lot tougher on CBs so he decided not to invest in anything there of significance and build everywhere else since CB won't matter with the penalties anyways ;)

Wagner played well, though. He didn't look like a ProBowler, but he was solid and feels like a step up from Oher to me. Monroe's performance bothers me, however. I was really glad when we signed him, but he seemed to struglled in TC and was really bad against the Cowboys defense. Flacco was flushed out of the pocket a bunch last Saturday and he was always escaping pressure from the left.

He was one of the worst graded Ravens on PFF, too. (not that I always agree with what they have to say, but it really wasn't a game, that I expected from a franchise LT)

I knew there was more than just a bruised chest.  Hopefully everything gets cleared up for Jimmy.  Harbaugh said he might play this weekend but I wouldn't even consider it if this is the case...

Harbaugh confirmed Jimmy Smith underwent an MRI and that there was some bruising and bleeding from his lungs. #Ravens

I don't even know why we would even consider playing him the rest of preseason. Let the man rest for 2 weeks and hopefully he will be ok. Lung injuries aren't exactly like a pulled muscle.

Chykie has the talent he just needs to stay focus and try not to over think. The guy has all the physical tools to succeed but it seems like the game hasn't slowed down for him. He only has two more preseason games to get it all together and hopefully he does.

Take it for what it's worth, but Lombardi over at RSR said there's a rumor that Owen Daniels could be contemplating retirement.

I would say guys like Dennard and Varrett are better talents and have a better skill set than Chykie. Both would be ahead of him if we did draft either of them.
