Training Camp Comments, Questions and Concerns

Webb has been tortured by Steve Smith all camp and today he left ' dinged up'.

Tyrod is making throws. I think its too late but good for him.

No reports about the running game at all.

D-Line seems to be constantly in the backfield but in all fairness our DLinemen are crazy deep.

What team is Brooks running with?

Follow Aaron Wilson for updates.

@RavensInsider: Backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor has hung passes too long in the air many times today, disrupting timing with open receivers DBs recovered

The defense seems to be dominating for now. I wish we would hear more positives about the offense. Is there any indication how Joe is doing in Kubiak's offense? Man, Pre-Season can't come soon enough.

That's to be expected though.  The D is in the same system while the O is still learning Kubiak's system.

As for Joe, I've heard it's been a transition for him.  He's had his ups and downs, which again, is to expected.

Hopefully the lack of personnel improvement on the offence won't come back and bite us. But defence always dominates in training camp from my memory

L.Webb is too injury prone.  Every time he does something on field, you cringe.

It scares me. Harbaugh saying Webb is battling through hip flexor issues bothers me, although he says it's not serious. I love Webb to death, one of my favourite players on the team. A pair of torn ACL's and now hip flexor concerns? I'm sure the Ravens will be very cautious and proactive with this, but still. As a CB in the NFL, these are not good injuries to be dealing with.

I like Webb but he's can't ever stay healthy. That big contract is looking like a mistake...something I've been saying about this team too much lately.

Not really, he's playing at a high level and they do stay your acls get stronger after the surgery.

He's great when he's healthy but when has he been healthy for long stretches of time?

I wouldn't say the contract is a mistake.  The 2 ACL tears seem to be more unfortunate than anything.  I do worry about his injury history though, especially this year when we're pretty thin at CB.

Same.  I love the guys demeanor and just the way he plays the game.  Still, its pretty clear L.Webb has some serious consideration to do before he steps into the full regular season.  Some kind of conditioning needs to take place.  I'm not exactly sure what that would be, but maybe this minor set back is a blessing in disguise.

Webb did play the entire season last year and was very productive; He definitely looked like the Webb that earned that contract he got. However, the past injury history cannot be disregarded. Now if he's dealing with hip issues (as minor as they may be) they are concerning at his size and the position of CB.

I would like to see us rest Webb a little bit and let some of the young guys step up through TC and PS. Great experience for the guys who normally don't get 1st team reps. I don't mean shut him down, but just give him plenty of time to get healthy before the season starts. Guys like Chykie and Asa need the reps.

Terrence Brooks is not impressing even on 3rd team.

Maybe try him @ CB. He played it in college before switching.

Why is it that every time I check Twitter, I see "(Insert player name here) beats Chykie Brown for a TD/deep pass/etc."  That's concerning.

#Ravens CB Chykie Brown continues to get beat deep in training camp. He hasn't looked good while filling in for Lardarius Webb (back).

Steve Smith made a long leaping catch down the right sideline with Chykie Brown covering him

Jacoby Jones beat Chykie Brown for a long touchdown catch

That's disappointing. I wouldn't fret yet but it wouldn't surprise me if he became a bust because we typically bomb on our third round picks but it's way too early to call him that. Still, I wouldn't mind taking my man Drummond next draft. That's my boy.

Story of his career, I'm afraid. He's got a history of just getting beat deep.

I'm really scared to see the secondary right now.  I'd be lying if I said I wasn't incredibly concerned.

Not surprised. Chykie just cannot be our #3 CB. I'm hoping Asa Jackson gets the job.

Same. Either that or our deep passing offense is really just that good haha

I think the deep pass will be a bit better this year, but I've never been a huge believer in Chykie.  It sounds like he's not doing well at all.  We have to look outside of the organization if things don't get better for him.

And one last thing...

Can we address the fact that Arthur Brown still has cornrows?  I can't tell you the last time I've seen someone rock cornrows.

Another injury for Pierce. Let's hope it's minor...

Jamison Hensley@jamisonhensley 1m

Bernard Pierce, #Ravens No. 2 running back, walked off field with team doctor with undisclosed injury. He had offseason shoulder surgery.

Yeah RB might he our top need next year and I'm an advocate for a WR. I'd love Gurley or Gordon(not you Gordy. Shut up). Pierce has the talent just not the durability.

*ozzie drafts TJ Yeldon*

I'd want Gurley, but Yeldon wouldn't be a bad pick, even if Ozzie drafts more players from Oklahoma
