Wizards Trades and Additions

I admit that when it comes to the NBA and the Wizards, I don't follow the sport and the team like I do MLB and the Orioles and no where near the way I follow the NFL and the Ravens. With that said, I like to watch the Wizards and the Capitals (NHL) games and root for both teams. I was a Trevor Ariza fan and sorry to see him go to the Rockets. I am wondering if the recent losses of Trevor Ariza and Trevor Booker will really hurt the team or if the additions of Paul Pierce and Kris Humphries will keep the Wizards in the Playoff hunt.

 

Trevor Ariza was a big loss and is a lot younger than Paul Pierce and his production is better, but the aging veteran Pierce is a real leader that I believe could actually motivate and mentor the young guys of the Wizards in a real positive way.

 

Trevor Booker is also younger than Kris Humphries but Humphries production is better and he may not be a bad pickup for the Wizards.

 

I would like to hear what others who understand the NBA, much better than I do, feel about these losses and additions.
