Absolutely....  Check out Mike Preston's article...  blown out of proportion too.

You think that is blown out of proportion? Kidding, right?

Oh, I know that is nothing compared to some of his stuff.

It's a very fair column. He's not wrong. Nothing he said was wrong or too far. Most of his columns aren't even too bad. It's a good column. It just paints Jimmy in a negative light and that apparently makes it bad. Smh!

See, I don't see it that way.  The only thing that Jimmy did wrong was not listen to the cop...  He actually could be seen as being somewhat chivalrist (if that is a word) in that he stood by the person he was trying to help.  He was not intoxicated.  Several eyewitnesses also said he did nothing wrong.  This has, in fact, been overblown.  I don't believe it actually deserves a storyline at all, period.  If it was you or I, it's a non-event.

He's still going with the 'Harbaugh cut Boldin and Reed because he's mean' rethoric when, in reality, it was all salary-related and Ozzie had more to do with it than Harbaugh but anyways... he did what he's supposed to as a columnist, offer his opinion to get clicks.

For what it's worth, on NFL.com a person claimed to have been there when it happened, and according to that person, Jimmy wasn't as argumentative or aggressive as the police report made him out to be.

Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't, but either way, this is much ado about nothing

Enough is enough! Jimmy should be drawn and quartered. Place his entrails at the 50 of the field at the Castle.  That should send a message to all of the lowlife scum that are The Ravens.

Just a person or a writer?

Would have been a commenter. I don't think a writer would have emphasised that point so much.

Person, writer or janitor, is there much of a difference for NFL.com?

I've seen someone get knocked out over a game of Scrabble....so.....yeah. Idiots will be idiots no matter the environment

Haha, at least they'd be staying out of legal trouble though. :P

Why is it never the Brees', Mannings, Pittas, Bradys of the NFL? Someone needs to be made an example of when these same dudes keep doing this stuff and get kicked out of the NFL. I dont mean Jimmys incident specifically, because it does sound very minor, but some are smart enough to understand how to be normal human beings and some clearly are not. Its getting very old!

Great question!

You know, the more I think about this, the less concerned I become. I don't think this had anything to do with Jimmy being some arrogant human being. She was probably really drunk and she had cocaine on her. He was probably really nervous and scared and didn't know what to say in the heat of the moment. I doubt he said any of it with a level head, and it shows when he's taken away and doesn't feel obligated to try to remedy the situation. Most likely just very nervous, not sure what to do, and said some wrong things.

I can't believe some of the over reactions on this site

Why are you associating yourself with people carrying around a felony?  That would be my question.

i would like to know just how drunk she was that cocaine didn't help.  I saw the movie Flight, it seemed to work wonders for Denzel Washington.

Do we know that Jimmy knew she had cocaine?

I don't really know anything more than what's in the article. Doesn't really matter.  I guarantee we all have that one friend that does some type of drug.  We just don't hang out with them anymore.

It's really bad when your friends are carrying dope in a local bar.

The same reason the woman had cocaine in her possession and Jimmy gets the disorderly charge.  Just the way of the world.

Because she was the one getting into a yelling match with the cops.

"Friend"?  Didn't the article state that Jimmy did a photo shoot with the woman earlier in the day?  Seems more likely that he had just met her.

She was in possession of a felony.  No charges?  Please tell me your joking.

Then they decided to go to the green turtle for drinks?  Photo shoot sounds like it went well.  If he didn't really know the young lady then why help her at all?
