Having the 3rd and 19th overall picks helped a lot.  Nobody could top that.

If I remember correctly, I had 13 and 24 to offer but obviously that wasn't comparable.  My original 4th and 26th (I think) wouldn't have even been enough, so it just wasn't possible to get to Teddy.  I still think a lot of teams are going to regret passing on him in the real draft.

I like what the Browns did. Got a few possible future QB's and built a good defense, Oline and quality targets around them.

QB:  Dalton is decent but very inconsistent. Bortles won't be pressured into starting early at least and you also have Henne so you should have yourself covered here.

RB: Of course QB doesn't matter quite as much considering who is here. Can't go wrong with AP

WR: I really expect Patterson to have a huge year this year and Jennings should bounce back as well. Alexander is a risk you have nice depth here as well.

TE: I think Rudolph will have a nice year this year under Turner, it is kinda what he does.

O-line: I like what you have here, gotta have a nice line for AP and it looks good.

D-line: Very solid line, not great but certainly good enough.

LB: I like the changes at this position, nice group here.

CB: I see you are trying to become the new Seahawks here with Browner, Rhodes, and Thurmond. Desir here as well, a good strong secondary.

S: Smith is a nice young FS and Sanford is pretty good. You really should give Andrew Sendejo the starting gig however, I was so pissed I wasn't able to trade for him ;)

Overall this is a team that can contend for a title. The question here obviusly is Dalton and his inconsistencies, Bortles possibly not being ready, and Henne. You do have AP however and that will help a lot. I really like the depth of this team and I don't see any real weakness overall. Probably up there with the Eagles in terms of who the best team is so far in these evaluations so overall great job.

arnieuk and the Rams are up next

Some might have known this was coming:

Looking back, I am quite pleased with how that team turned out.

Really deep on the o line and secondary. Huge improvement with the linebackers and a good D line. Really deep running back core adding Thomas was a steal. QB could be the achiles heal.

Dalton has been to the playoffs multiple times in a scheme that used him too much and didn't utilize his abilities. My feeling is still that in a run heavy Seahawks style offense, like my team is built, he'd be the efficient and effective game manager.

I should also go on record to say I am not buying the Patterson hype. He can make some big plays but can't run s route tovsave his life. So hes limited. Jennings hasn't looked good in purple either. I like the aberderris potential but that's probably a year or two away.

I think Patterson can become an elite WR, but I tend to agree it's still at least a year away from happening. I haven't heard how he is doing this year so maybe he has made strides. I disagree about Jennings though. I think he was pretty good last year, but was severely limited statistically due to the incompetence at QB. He still managed to put up 800 yards and caught a pretty high percentage of passes thrown at him.

Agreed. You can't blame him for playing with crap QBs

QB: Decent group here, counting on someone doing well which if you don't have a good QB is almost required.

RB: A good group here, I like Stacy and I am a bit biased for West lol. Not the biggest Pead fan but he could emerge.

WR: Nothing spectacular here but it is solid with a lot of room to grow. In a couple years, this could be a really nice group.

TE: Cook is talented but we all know his story, still should be okay at least.

O-line: I like the line but maybe throw Robinson at LG and put Barksdale at RT. You do have options here which is good to have.

D-line: I really like the D-line although I would want more than 3 DTs on the line, lack of depth there could hurt. Nothing to say on DE lol

LB: It is a decent group, Steward is a bit of an unknown however but solid overall

CB: Overall it is pretty good, not great but it should be a serviceable group that has really nice potential down the road.

S: It is a decent group, has some room for improvement in the future.

Overall this is a young team with a lot of potential in the future but not necessarily this year. I see them being a decent team with strength in the trenches and should play tough to almost anyone but I don't know if they quite have enough to be considered big time contenders. I really like the potential down the road however when some of these players get a little more experienced, especially at WR and CB. If Carr and some other guys can develop in a couple years and do well then this team could be deadly but there is still some unknown with it. It still should be a decent team as it does have pieces in place right now but it depends on what happens at QB and how quickly some of the younger guys develop as to how far they go this year. Overall though not bad as the future for this team looks bright.

QB: Palmer is okay, maybe Ponder gets better? Good WAG depth though(forgot to mention T3h is killing there as well lol)

RB: Ellington is in for some nice time this year, nice core

WR: Between Fitz, Evans, and Cotchery, you have a pretty nice group at WR.

TE: Miller is a pretty good TE all around, not bad

O-line: LT is a big hole, the rest of the line is pretty good, Cooper has potential and Saffold is pretty good as well but LT really hurts.

D-line: Between Harrison and Campbell, this D-line is already beastly. Dockett is okay, if he gets to how he used to be this could be a top D-line.

OLB: Irvin could be a better fit at OLB in the 3-4 as opposed to Seattle, Hughes is pretty good as well

ILB: Losing Washington to suspension hurts this group quite a bit

CB: Peterson, Mathieu, and Carol is a nice group(since I am assuming you are going to move Mathieu around a bunch), I like this group with good depth as well.

S: Mathieu is a playmaker so him at FS is great, you can do a lot with this secondary. Should be fun.

Overall this is a pretty solid team. The big holes here are at LT and ILB with Washington being suspended. I think the defense should be a good one and hopefully the offense can get going as well. If you had a better LT, I would say this team should make the playoffs but between that and more importantly being in the NFC West, I can't guarentee it. I could see this team easily get in as a wild card however even without LT although I don't know how far Palmer could take it. If the defense can dominate this team could go far but that one hole hurts. In a tough NFC West it should be close, I will need to get everyone else evaluated before I really could get a good prediction for you but I like the team. If you had a good LT I would say you could compete for a championship but I think you should be around the 9-10 win mark on here still.

QB: I like Rivers, really good QB

RB: Starks and Randle here is a bit thin, could use another rusher.

WR: Allen is good, Moncrief is a question mark although Robinson is okay. Could use a bit more quality depth though

TE: I like Green as the MOVE, a bit unproven inline

O-line: I like both your tackles although it is a bit shaky inside. Does have good potential however

D-line: Overall is is a good line. Very deep although I feel this unit would work better as a 3-4

LB: I like Kerrigan more in a 3-4 and Butler and Shazier inside in a 3-4 would be nice as well. IMO, I feel a 3-4 would suit this team better

CB: Joseph is a very good CB although the depth could be improved upon.

S: Addae has some nice potential and Wilson isn't too bad, it is an okay group right now

Overall this is a very young team. I don't know how great it will be this year, maybe given time to develop it could turn into something nice but there are a lot of question marks. Rivers has a young group to throw to but they have their question marks and there are only 2 rbs on the roster. The middle of the O-line isn't great, and the secondary needs some help. Maybe if Rivers plays lights out and the coaches get some of the younger talent developed, this team could make some noise but it seems to me to be a team in transition. The future looks bright if the talent can develop but I don't know if that will necessarily be from day 1. The transitions are a bit tough but sometimes you have to make them like the Ravens last year, now the younger talent can get more opportunity to develop and the team can build for the future.

Yeah I am sure that hurt when trying to fill certain positions(I know it did for me)
