--Warning: Purely hypothetical boredom stipulation thread--

My friend and I got into an argument over who we would rather have on our teams, Torrey or Julio Jones. I of course picked Torrey because I feel he is more of a complete threat, but I am a little biased. What do you all think? was I being a homer?

Julio without question.  He's one of the best young WR's in the league.  I love Torrey, but he's way too one dimensional to take him over a stud like Julio.

Julio Jones and it's not even close.  He's a freak of nature, and flat out unstoppable at times. His durability is a concern, but if the opportunity came across to trade Torrey for Julio straight up I'd take it

He ran a faster 40 than Torrey with a broken foot. He's got an insane vertical jump, weighs as much as Anquan Boldin, and is 6'3.

He's basically the definition of a stud.

Julio but I would rather have a group of good receivers over one good one who will break the bank. Also Jones has serious concerns from a health standpoint.

Julio Jones no question. I love Torrey but Julio has been a tier 1 WR.

Lmao. Next is gonna be Aaron Rodgers or Joe Flacco. Or BB vs Harbaugh. By the way Julio, by a landslide. I will say this, if they were both the same height, I might go Torrey when taking everything into account.

That's tough one for me as a Ravens fan. Torrey did alot of great things in a Ravens jersey and that does matter to me ALOT. Objectively speaking it would be Julio, though. Still, I don't know how I would feel, if Torrey left the team even if we would get Julio in exchange. I will treasure the memories of Smith catching that TD pass at the end of Joe's 92 yard game-winning drive against the Steelers in Pitt forever. What a great moment in Ravens history.

You're missing out. He not only looked like the Predator before he cut his dreads but played like one too.

Not even close... JJ. But I'd rather pay Torrey's salary. Lol.

right, and from a character standpoint I think Torrey is one of the most lovable guys on the team. Would you all really give that up?

Julio and it isn't close(no offense to Torrey but Julio is just that good), he helped me win my league in 2012 as well lol.

Injuries are a concern with him but he is just too good. I would rather get a group of good WRs as opposed to 1 great WR however if we want to change the question to that although the Falcons are still loaded at WR with Roddy White(even though I don't like him) and Harry Douglas.

Character is nice and all, and it would hurt to see him go being that he is a likable guy, but still Julio without a question.  He's one of those WR's that can truly take over a game.  He can do it all.

This.  The contract and what Atlanta paid in the draft to get him, may persuade me as hypothetical GM to go with Torrey.  But in terms of just lining them up together, Julio hands down.

My face contorted pretty badly when I read that you'd take Torrey over Julio. Julio without a doubt

I'll take Julio in every one of these scenarios brought up. Sure Torrey is a nice guy, but this is football... And JJ is an elite player who is much better in all facets of the game. I'd also be willing to sacrifice a guy or two to be able to pay him. I'm not going to pass up on an elite WR and I would love to see what Joe could do with a guy like that. He'd take our offense to a whole new level
