It's hard to compare these, each one was really terrible. I watched the game when Weepu's ankle went toward the sideline but this photo today takes the cake. I'm not going to watch the George injury video, which is all over the place. People are sick.

Won't argue there. I feel weird for asking, but it's more that I'd rather gauge what happened without seeing the video or any pics. If you say this one takes the cake, I'll trust you on that and wish him a speedy and full recovery (Weepu came back surprisingly quickly and surprisingly strong, which is a real testament to modern medicine and a hope George can do it too).

With that said, I'll probably get bored some time, dig the picture up and regret ever doing it.

I find these like the traffic jams at car accidents, you don't want to look but you are too curious to resist. I will say the video is pretty bad

I didn't see the Ware one, The most well-known one I saw recently was Silva's (Piri Weepu would be another one if allblackraven saw that), but if you say George's break was more graphic than Silva's then I'm glad I haven't seen it yet. Silva's shin wrapped around the guy in a way shins aren't meant to wrap around guys.

I'm an MMA fan, so I've seen the Silva one, but I probably should've referenced the video as it's been some time since I've seen it. To help explain it, George's leg ended up laying perpendicularly on the area right above his ankle.

Now that Knicks have signed him, I think he will see some playing time on my roster, too. A bit funny to have Early as the last draft pick.

There goes the last pick. Do we keep the process open for whoever missed their selection(s) to place theirs? Do we set a time limit or keep it relatively infinite?

I'm beginning to feel somewhat optimistic, relatively speaking of course, about George's recovery after reading up on the injury and the opinions of medical professionals. One of the top orthopedic physicians in sports medicine stated that most athletes with this injury can perform at pre-injury levels. Another said that the bone heals stronger and gains stability due to the titanium rod that is inserted during surgery, and that the risk of a re-injury is almost zero. George has been one of my favorite players for years, so I am very disheartened by the injury. I wish him a speedy recovery. He's always been very competitive and hard working, which should help him on the road back to the hardwood.

I'm happy to keep it open. I don't think closing it would do much tbh.

Breaking the same bone in the same spot after it has fully healed is virtually impossible.

That's encouraging to hear.

That's why kung fu masters punch trees. It's creates micro factures in their hands which, over time, gives them fists of steel.

If it's just bone damage he'll be alright eventually. When you start messing up ligaments and tendons is when you run into problems really.

Ah, I see. The end result must be insane. Good reference.

Fortunately for George, nothing else was damaged aside from the bone itself. There was no additional damage to any ligaments, any arteries, any veins or any nerves. Agreed on the latter.

Just as a heads up, the list of missed selections before the mandatory rounds were through are:

KDUBB44

ravensnick (3x)

These two rosters are unfinished. Sizzlebshu and Gordo52 participated in the 13th round and did not submit a selection thereafter. Should any of them wish to post add a player, they could do so up to two times each. Unless I'm mistaken, codizzle never stated whether he would participate. He is able to add up to three players as well.

I'm happy with how this team would have turned out.  Would have lost 3 big men to injury which would hurt, but my team was going to be best playing small ball to begin with.

Awesome starting lineup. The depth would've been pretty rough outside of JJ and Mirotic.

PG: Jrue Holiday, D.J. Augustin, Kendall Marshall

SG: Paul George, Gerald Henderson, Marcus Thornton

SF: Jeff Green, Wilson Chandler

PF: Al Horford, Brandan Wright

C: Tim Duncan, Rudy Gobert, Chris Kaman, Larry Sanders

The injuries to Paul George and Kendall Marshall were very unfortunate. I'm surprised that the bigs didn't take a hit with Larry Sanders' retirement. If No.21 returns, which has been hinted at in recent days, I'd have a nasty pairing among my big men between Tim Duncan, Al Horford and Rudy Gobert, so it wouldn't be a lost year with George coming back healthy. Would be very intrigued to see what the roster could do with a healthy starting five.

This was pretty easily the best IMO. An eight man rotation with the starting five plus Draymond, Smart and Danny Green is lethal, then sub in Draymond when Bosh went down.

PG: Chris Paul (1)
SG: Jimmy Butler (4)

SF: Tobias Harris (5)
PF: Chris Bosh (2)
C: Greg Monroe (3)

6th Man - SG/SF: Danny Green (6)

Bench C/PF: Ed Davis (7)

Bench PG/SG: Marcus Smart (8)

Bench SF/PF: Draymond Green (9)

Bench PF/SF: Mike Scott (10)

Bench PG: Ramon Sessions (11)

Bench C: Zaza Pachulia (12)
