So how does it feel being a Cavs fan again?

They now have money to go get more depth with Lebron gone. They get Wade back, and get a guy like Deg and suddenly they're not as bad lineup wise. They did acquire a better pg in Nelson. They'd be better off with Lebron but aren't totally screwed imo

I wonder how Wade feels about leaving all that money on the table.  Wamp Wamp.  Heat back to being trash.

Oh man... That royally screwed up my Rockets. Will be interesting to see if we match Parsons contract now. Came into this offseason with high hopes. But may come out of it weaker actually. Very disappointing.

I like Parsons, but he's not worth that much money.  The Rockets would be better off holding off and trying to snag a guy next year.

I agree. But the problem is that you would be wasting a year of Howards prime. And he would probably remember that for 2016. I think they will match, but it's not an easy decision

This just in. Trevor Ariza signs with Houston on a 4 year, $32 million deal.

Ugh, why didn't the Wizards match that? I thought he would be getting 10-12 million a year, but I would've been OK with 8. Especially since it's front loaded.

Good fit for Ariza though. Harden should give him plenty of open 3's. Good defender, veteran leadership and durable. He'll surely be missed by the Wizards. Time for Otto to step up.

Who cares about this crap.   MELO IS BACK.  Phil going to turn the Knicks around as long as Dolan can stay out his damn way.

I never said how they were back.  I'd bet they finish better than last year which isn't saying much.  I don't expect them to compete for a title, but at least keep the season interesting with at best a 2nd round exit.  Phil has made good moves so far as well with his lack of resources.  I like the Early pick and moving Chandler and Felton.  Calderon should fit the system as well and Shump is still on the team, so I can't complain.  Dolan has been the real problem lately.

Porter was the #3 overall pick for a reason. He has the potential to be an 18-7-9 guy a night. He's pretty solid potential wise

Well last year he looked really bad whenever he did see the court which was wasn't much.

Pau next to Noah will be fun to watch. Hopefully for them Rose comes back strong and they'll be eastern favorites.

Paul Pierce to the Wizards! 2 years, 10 million. I'm so shocked. He said he wanted to play next to Wall & Beal. He should be a great influence to them. Otto Porter as well.

Great recovery from Grunfield after losing out on Ariza. Wall-Beal-Pierce-Nene-Gortat is a solid 5. Also could play small with Wall-Beal-Otto-Pierce-Gortat.

...Now we gotta add a spark off the bench not named Drew Gooden.

Stop gap for Kevin Durant. ;)

Contract wise, I'd rather have Pierce's 2 years, 11 million (with a player option) than Ariza's 4 years, 32 million.

I'm still in shock Ernie Grunfield made a good move.

Decent move.. Will be a good move if he gets used correctly and accepts the role he's gonna have to take

I'll take Pierce at 5.5 all day. Being able to answer losing Ariza that fast was impressive. His role should be playing 25 mpg and being our closer late in games. It's nice because Otto will still get the much needed playing time while learning behind a HOF...

Ariza averaged 35 mpg last year and 14.4 ppg. Pierce averaged 28 mpg and had 13.5. Playing next to Wall and Beal certainly helped Ariza's play A LOT... I expect the same with Pierce despite his age. He brings a veteran, winning presence which couldn't be better for this still relatively young core.

It also doesn't restrict the wizards long term, which might be my favorite thing about it all. Getting ahead but it really could be a stop gap for Kevin Durant in a couple years.... He's on record saying he'd like to play back home in DC. Nene's contract will be off the books and with what just happened with LeBron going home and all, I could see KD doing the same. :)

Deng is an excellent signing by Miami. Wade/Deng/Bosh/Mcroberts is a really solid core, especially in the East. Well done, Pat Riley, but still a bit more to do.
