First game between Warriors and Cavs.  Rooting for Warriors.  Western team   They beat my Blazers quite a bit.  I saw them earn this berth

Cagey start for both sides, but the Cavs seem to have settled down first.

It would be great to see Cleveland go up 3-1 and then lose. What an awful city.

I like LeBron, but I approve these messages.

I like LeBron too. I hope he dominates. But it would be funny to see Cleveland get their hopes up.

Man, inagine these playoffs if everyone were healthy

LeBron has coasted to the Finals due to injuries the past 5 years. The Thunder were decimated with injuries and I thought they had a legitimate shot if they had all there pieces at playoff time. Hawks lost 2 key players on a without true "superstars" depending on where you rank Teague and Horford. Bulls lost Gasoline and for years didn't have Rose. I just think it's funny LeBron jumped ship to the better team under the appearance of returning home when it was just to go back to a better team and his guys are dropping like flies.

Not sure what relevance the Thunder has to LeBron. GS has benefited from injuries just as much as the Cavs have, if not moreso considering the Cavs have their own injuries.

The only injured East team that would've troubled LeBron over these past years would have been the Bulls, and I still don't buy that they win all of those series.

I don't see how the Cavs can win without Irving... LeBron played out of his mind last night and it still wasn't enough. Feel awful for them.

The Pacers missed Granger, who was one of their top scorers before the injury and would have been crucial in a series where they lacked points.

Sorry. I think someone else had brought up the Thunder and that's why I mentioned them.

Kyries scoring, but most importantly, his defense, was on point. He looked fully healed for that first game and now you wonder what happens without him covering Curry. Wouldn't surprise me if Bron sent in his resume to GS and is trying to take his talents to Oakland...

Agreed. If Irving is out there's no point in even watching the rest. LBJ vs. Golden State will not be entertaining. Cleveland got NOTHING from their bench.

Yup. Smith had that one nice 3 to end the first half but was MIA the rest of the way... I think Cleveland would've run away with this series if K-love and Irving were healthy. But, you never know.

A healthy Portland team would be interesting as well.

You mean Paul George?

No. I know he was out this year, but a few years ago, in the Eastern Finals, it was Heat vs Pacers. Granger was still a highly productive scorer for the Pacers and this was when George was just starting to make his name as a star. The Pacers, like the Bulls, lacked a reliable surge on offense and Granger would've provided it. I think he had a knee injury and George Hill went MIA in the series, for the most part. I think the series went to 7.

Lol, haters. Warriors still gonna win it, healthy opposition or not. The Rockets with two starters in Bev and DMo or Cavs with Love  and now maybe Irving or Grizz with Conley might've made it a bit more interesting. No chance for the Blazers though, healthy or not.

But the Warriors have been incredible this year. Still rooting for the Cavs and a miracle, but let's not forget about what a great team the Warriors have this year.

Well, I am the voice of reason. The oracle if you may. So you certainly should agree atlas once in a while.

Maybe not to make it to the Finals, but definitely a dark horse for the WCF. The absence of Wes Matthews made a huge difference in our team just like the absence of Bev and DMo for your Rockets.

Absent of talent and an owner who doesn't want to win kept my Knicks from reaching a 20 wins. We were a dark horse to win the lottery though...

Couldn't even do that right

I think the point was more that if anyone's going to use injuries to knock the Warriors, they can do the same thing for the Heat and Cavs. Personally I think pretty much every championship side needs a little luck - staying healthy enough at the right time, a few officiating calls going their way, etc - but no-one wins without also being good enough.
