I love me some Kevin Love but I really hate this.

I wanted to see Wiggins & Bennett grow next to LeBron so bad. Shame.

Predicting now, Cav's won't win more than 1 title in this Love era. And that 1 will be tough.

In other news World Peace is changing his name to Panda Friend

Seriously? That has to be a joke. Then again, I thought it was a joke last time too...

Well I hope you guys enjoyed NBA players in international competition, because that's over now.

Kevin Durant's gone now too, citing "physical and mental fatigue". To be fair, I'd imagine it's pretty fatiguing seeing your colleague go through that.

Also, I'm annoyed at the NBA pushing its schedule back by a week. I'll have to pay an extra $200 for flights from Florida to Baltimore if I go there now, all so the NBA can do something similar to what the NFL did with its draft (piss off the fans under the guise of "building suspense").

Dion thinks he & Kyrie form the best backcourt and are better than John & Beal.

http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=11618576

Love the top comment. "Dion, eat a snickers."

Also loved Wall's response......

Heading into this season, I'd rank em (no bias)

Wall/Beal

Curry/Klay

Bledsoe/Dragic

Demar/Lowry

Rose/Butler

Kemba/Lance --- Kyrie/Waiters

"That's nonsense," Waiters said after practice Tuesday. "(Beal is) supposed to say that, but I know deep down, he's not messing with me and Ky (Kyrie Irving). I think me and Ky are the best backcourt, young backcourt. That's all."

That says it all to me. It's not like either guy is supposed to say something like "ehhh, we're pretty good, but I'd say we're like the fourth best in the league right now". Same as Joe saying he has to believe he can be the best in the league because if he doesn't, that's doing a disservice to his teammates.

True but John's comment says it all to me. :)

John Wall, Tuesday, in reaction to Waiters: “You gotta win a playoff game first before you can talk. You gotta be a starter first.”

I was wondering if there was a NBA thread for this season (big Blazers fan here). So I hear that Steve Nash is out for the season yet again. He might as well retire.

Predictions:

ECF: Bulls vs Cavs, Bulls in 7 (If Rose is heathy)

WCF: Mavs vs Spurs, Spurs in 5

Spurs repeat, beat the Bulls in 6

MVP: LeBron

Comeback: Rose

ROY: Parker

Most improved: Anthony Bennett

Coach: Doc

I think Beals injury hurts the Wiz, and even when heathy couldn't matchup offensively with Cleveland. Also still don't believe in Randy Wittman.... I can see them winning one and done again....

I'd love to see Wall continue to develop offensively. Nene stay heathy. Glen Rice jr step up in Beals absence. Otto show strides and the investments of Pierce and Humphries pay off. I think Humphries will actually play a big role in our success this season.

Thunder will miss the MVP but I expect RW to play MVP calibre in his absence. Still don't believe they can win the big one together though whenever KD comes back.

Clippers will have a great season and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them being the last team standing.

Predicting the Hornets to finish 4th behind Cle, Chi, & Wsh.

Interested to see how Kerr does in GS.

I obviously really believe in Dallas this season if Dirk plays anywhere near the level he did last year. Loved the Parsons signing.

NY & HOU will be NY & HOU.

Lakers will be bad but I wouldn't be shocked to see Kobe have a huge year and have them contend for that final playoff spot in the west.

Expecting the Heat to surprise some people. Wade & Bosh will play at higher levels than they've had to the last couple years.

Go Sixers...

Over/under 17.5 wins?

You going to the Sixers Magic game in like a week? I'm in Philly for that one.

The East is the Cavs' to lose. A healthy Rose changes things, but I can't see Cleveland not making the finals. The funny thing is I have no idea if I'd root for them to win it all.

The West could go anywhere. Gun to my head I'll roll with the Clippers.

My Magic will surprise people imo. I think they'll scrape into the 8th seed. Elfrid Payton for Rookie of the Year and hopefully Oladipo keeps improving - and gets shunted to SG by the end of the season.

I'll be at the Bulls home opener on Friday. Paid almost an entire week's wages to sit four rows from the court and I'm pumped about it. :D

We got wizards, heat, thunder, sixers, grizzlies, magic, blazers and rocket fans all on this forum....The diversity is pretty cool. Baltimore really needs a team!

Awesome. I never plan ahead for Sixer games. I usually attend a dozen-fifteen per year, almost all spur of the moment decisions, unless I'm going with a big group of people. Very seldom do I miss out on the good seats completely. Very other team here in Philly sells out every game, but we aren't really a basketball town. Not since the glory days before my time, anyway.

Yeah, I gathered that would be the case - especially with the tanktastic job your FO's doing atm. Apparently it's a very different atmosphere to Eagles or Flyers games.

Is there anywhere with decent food (and preferably beer) near the stadium? Or any specialty Philadelphia meal to recommend? Wherever I go I like to make a habit of trying out that place's signature dish - it's kinda depressing to see people go to McDonald's or Starbucks when they travel.
