Rice will lose $235,294 per game suspended, so the Ravens will get a Cap credit of $470,588 when the suspension begins on 8/30.

 

The team could also decide to pursue bonus forfeiture against him in the amount of $750K for being "unavailable" (CBA's term) due to suspension.

Alot of it is just trash talk from fans. 2 games is less than I expected also, but it's not like Rice hit a random woman, the victim in question is now his wife, they've received counseling and hopefuly, botched public apology aside (seriously what did his wife apologize for?), they both can get past all this together. It's not really the NFL's business to meddle with someone's marital problems.

Yep we'll get a cap credit at the beginning of the regular season.  It wouldn't take effect now though, so it doesn't do too much good.  The amount is pretty low as well.  It wouldn't be the difference between us signing a player or not.
