Ed Reed Says He would be interested in coaching Ravens later but...

Spags blitzes at least, but I'm not sold on him either. He just seems like the logical next guy in line.

Pees sends in a four or five man rush quite often. Not that blitzing a lot defines how good a DC is.

Reed is past the point of even being a useful backup or rotational player. He has not played well against the run in years, as we all know, but the last couple years, he has been getting taken advantage of in pass defense as well.

Bring him back as a coach, I would love to see that.

Around here it seems ya gotta blitz every down just to be acceptable.

I blame Sexy Rexy for that. He had an imaginative playbook and an ungodly amount of talented players to execute said playbook. Unfortunately, a lot of us forget that we no longer have the 2006 defense on the field anymore

Fly....  I agree 100%

He's looking for a job....  point blank.

He wanted to go out there and find the bucks... Wanted to "take care of his family".  He did that, right?  Another player that didn't want to take a "neighborhood discount". ..  or in his case a "passed your prime" discount.

I LOVE ED REED...  Have his jersey...  But God love him, he's done.

Baltimore loves him.  But it's time we move on in our secondary.

As a coach or consultant????  He'd be fantastic....

With Reed's knowledge of the game, you'd have to think he'd be a good secondary coach.  Maybe when Pees gets fired next off-season and Spags (likely) takes over, he'll get an opportunity.

I wish we can promote Spags now

Coaches used to say to young players something like, 'don't do what Ed does, you won't last long'.

Only Ed could be Ed. Now, he obviously has a deep understanding of the game and has taken a number of young players under his wing and helped them grow (Webb). Coaching is different, though. Not doubting him but it is a different mindset and takes a different kind of commitment than playing.
