Matt Miller is just a dude with a platform. I think he does an OK job, but he's not an expert by any stretch. In fact I don't think such a thing exists. The closest would be former scouts like Jeremiah.

yea imo dj and mayock are clearly the top two. You also have cosell as well. Mayock doesn't have his own twitter and on nfln you sometimes get the feeling he won't ever say anything bad about someone. Thats his only flaw

I wish Charlie Casserly would do mock drafts and such. That guy knows football and players better than all these "mock draft experts" put together

Not an attack on you, but don't most people claim Miller is a clueless hack? I happened to see that earlier today and was going to post it, but was too lazy. I think that draft turned out alright. Got key pieces on both sides of the ball and helpful role players. I think when we look back, the 12 and 13 drafts could be something like that as well.

Nah, miller is good. he's not the best by a long stretch, but Bleacher report is almost complete trash and he is one of the few bright spots.

2011 was a pretty good draft. Obviously we missed on Reid and Doss, but I think Chykie can contribute a little this year, Torrey and Jimmy are our young superstars, and McPhee is a great rotational guy.

I wish they had tried Doss returning punts earlier because he was phenomenal for a few weeks. Had to learn when to field it better, but he did well

It's not fair to the players. If Mayock says 1st round prospect QB Joe Michaels has poor work ethic and no upside, that he can't make all the throws etc. then it's gonna cost the kid millions. He knows that so that's why he doesn't bash any players, he doesn't want to be the reason why this guy or that guy drops 1-2 rounds or doesn't even get drafted.

Mayock is highly respected around the league, he knows the players well and if he sees something that's wrong with a player those teams listen. He's not Mel Kiper. Go ask the agents that keep complaining about Mayock whenever he says something negative about one of their players, that he's hurting their draft stock with those comments. They know because they're the ones talking to the teams.

For sure. That is when Doss was completely and utterly useless to use

Yeah, I find it hard to believe any team bases their draft board around Mayocks opinions

Can we try to stay on track here and stop acting like everything to come from BR.com is bad? That's not the point of the thread

Ah, good old Bleacher Report. Where their sources are about as good as mine or yours. Especially if it means copying a message board and citing it as fact. I will never forget the day they used our forum as a source.

It's amazing to me how upset people get about an opinion based sports site...
