So how's that number one pick doing for you Houston? It is being reported Clowney is going to see Dr. James Andrew to get a second opinion on his knee. It is quite possible he has played his last down this season if this turns into bad news for the Texans, and another relief for us, well specifically Joe Flacco.

Update: Clowney to have knee surgery and will be put on IR.

If you were relying on Brandon Marshall to help you win a fantasy championship, I'm afraid I've got some bad news.

The Bears believe that Marshall is done for the year.

Yeah, confirmed - broken rib and a collapsed lung. Out for the season.

That was dirty, cheap shot on Marshal. He was already down, could have just touched him.

Who hit him?

The legs broken part isn't confirmed, but he did have to be loaded on a stretcher so it looks quite serious. Thoughts out to him, heard the other guy involved ran a red light.

A spokesperson for the Carolina highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Cam Newton has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation

Hopefully you're correct because that would really be horrible for him but all reports are now saying it's confirmed.

@SteveCrumpWBTV: CMPD source says no injuries to Cam Newton. He did not want to be transported. Taken to hospital as a precaution.

Eyewitnesses report his truck was struck and flipped three or four times, landing on its' side on a bridge - on NFLN right now. He was awake and talking. Injuries won't be confirmed until he gets to the hospital. Happened right in front of the Charlotte Observer building

Yeah I thought of that but it seems this time it is real - just conflicting injury reports. Hopefully the ones saying no injuries are correct.

Pictures from the scene on NFLN. Cam smiling before going on the stretcher. The backboard, C-collar, etc is protocol for any roll-over, doesn't mean anything.

That's good - I should know better than to take PFT's word for anything.

Don't want to confuse anyone but the site you linked is the same site that has done the car accident hoax of QBs before. Notice how it says both legs were broken, same injury that always been used in the hoax stories.

Now Cam did get into a REAL car accident and the injuries are minor. Even the local news is reporting it so this was a real crash. His truck apparently flipped 4 times. Here's a link to a local news site here in NC.

According to ESPN, they don't believe there are any fractures, just scrapes and bruises and they are keeping him in the hospital overnight for observation. In fair condition currently

Further testing revealed that Cam Newton has two transverse process fractures in his lower back and no further internal injuries.

This is the same injury Romo suffered against Washington and Bryce Petty of Baylor suffered a similar injury earlier in the year. Both players missed 1 game but it took them a bit for them to get back into form
