Display...  it was discussed amongst a couple of us yesterday...  after several ignored nudges by the mods, it was decided last night.

Locking wouldn't make the inappropriate comments disappear. On a holiday weekend none of us needs to spend our time cleaning up a mess that should not have occured. Ergo, the thread is gone and is staying gone.

I believe Rice will be meeting the Commissioner in NY sometime in the near future according to news sources. It is pretty much at Goodell's discretion.  I haven't heard of a specific time frame so far.
