CRP's 2014 BR.com Pick Em League

Each year starting in 2011, in my life away from the forums, I have ran two pick em leagues.  A paid office league and an inter-office league (consisting of individuals from various companies I've met during my ten-year tenure at my current job).

 

That being said, I'm looking to offer it up to the forums if anyone is interested.  I know there are a few other members that run pick em leagues (or at least used to).  Not trying to steal their thunder, nor do I mind if you're in both.

 

This particular league does not run off a website because I am not a big fan of the traditional "single-point" system.  Typically, when someone has gained a serious lead (+10 points) over the rest of the league, it's nigh impossible for anyone to get caught up.  In this league, different games have different point values, which go as follows:

 

Byes: 0-points each

Preseason: 1-point each

Early Games: 2-points each

Late Games: 3-points each

Prime-time Games: 4-points each

Game of the Week: 5-points each

 

Wild-Card Games: 2-points each

Divisional Games: 3-points each

Conference Games: 4-points each

Super Bowl: 5-points

 

Whether we do preseason and playoffs depends on the majority of those joining, which will be decided before the first preseason game.

 

Participation will be limited to 50 individuals, because that's the personal messenger quota.

 

You can turn in your picks whenever you'd like, however you will not receive points for any games that have already started prior to your picks submission (obviously).

 

If you want to share your picks with the rest of the league, that is your decision but I will only be posting the blank scorecard and current point standings.

 

Again, participation is limited, so first come, first serve.  If you receive a message telling you that my messenger inbox is full, then you missed the bus.  I will participate if there is room, but am willing to give up the 50th spot for another member - it's keep me unbiased as well.

 

Upon sending me a personal message, please include your "Yes/No" votes for Preseason and Playoffs picks.
