Yeah, it's safe to say Cody is gone.  We got 15 run stuffing DTs on the roster now, we don't need the 1 taco stuffing DT anymore.

Don't think Canty gets cut

The Jerngian pick makes it likely combined with his numbers last year and injury history.

I don't think Canty gets cut.  He's probably in consideration but only if someone good gets cut and we need the money.

Lmao.

Don't think Canty is cut and I don't see a reason to cut Taylor. Koch still unsure of. Isn't this thread a little premature?

Also, there is no reason to cut o line depth early, even though I know this is a prediction thread.

We drafted Urschel ang got James Hurst in UDFA, some oline-men are gone. TAylor cut because we only keep 2 qbs and drafted weinning.

But, what if Tyrod Taylor surprises everyone and has an amazing preseason, while Wenning struggles? I assume T.T. is kept on the active roster and Keith Wenning gets put onto the practice squad, right?

:th_179419:

I just threw up in my mouth reading that. You need yours washed out with soap.

After Taylor's terrible play in garbage time against the patriots last year i would say he will be out of football after his tenure with the ravens.

I don't think he would go to practice squad because a team would take him

You had me right up until Koch & Gino... and now, you just seem silly.

Terrence Cody, Laquan Williams, Jah Reid, AQ Shipley are all goneskis.

Sam Koch's a possible to get cut and Deonte Thompson and Tyrod Taylor are probables. All will have to earn their spots.

Canty's fine unless we get an epic break go our way. I know we got Jernigan and all, but just to add to what everyone else has said he ofers too much in the rotation.

Koch has a pretty big cap hit for his position and will have to duke it out with a UDFA. Not out of the realm of possibility at all imo.

Gino, while I disagree with the premise, is a feasible cut.

I'm guessing only the first 6 picks make the final cut and the rest go to the practice squad, thats an ILB, DL, FS, TE, DL and RB. Safety, running back and to a lesser extent tight end were positions of need so we're not going to lose any big names there, I think that puts the chopping block right over ILB and the DL.

Forsett, aiken, deonte thompson, laquan williams, AQ shipley, Mims, omar bown, mount cody, adrian hamilton, levine and mcclellan.

I hate saying a few of these guys b.c i think given a chance guys like mims , hamilton, omar brown and levine could prove something.

guys like cody and mcclellan will get picked up by another team quick and probably have success as rotational players.

AQ will get picked up just b.c of his experience.

the rest of them who knows.. hope the best for a guy like laquan williams

Goodbye Reid and Shipley!

unfortunately i would hold off on the reid cut. do think he should be? yes absolutely. BUT we will need depth at tackle and he plays both guard and tackle which the coaches and ozzie love. until we pick up a veteran tackle i believe jah reid is safe. so im crossing my fingers

I think Terrance Cody, A.Q. Shipley, Jah Reid, and Deonte Thompson are definitely going to be cut. All had starting time last year and didn't impress at all. Thompson had a spark here and there, but he's not worth it.

LaQuan Williams may have a shot if he does well on ST and can contribute at WR. Odds are against him, but I see us keeping Steve Smith, Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones, Marlon Brown, Aaron Mellette, and Michael Campanaro. Bynes is going to fight it out for that ST role with McClellan and depth at ILB.

In order to play the coaches need to put him on the field. A 5th round rookie passed him on the depth chart at tackle and Shipley (who is also terrible) beat him out at guard. I truly believe Reid made the roster by the skin of his teeth last year for depth like you said but that ship has sailed.

We traded for the new center. Gino will back him up. Then we have Jensen the rookie last year who the coaches must like since they kept him on the roster all year despite his injury. Add to that the guard we just drafted and thats plenty of depth on the interior. As for tackle, I'll take my chances with some undrafted guy over Reid.

We got a very good tackle, James Hurst as a UDFA. Reid is gone.

I kinda sucks that LaQuan Williams is listed as a WR because, at the very least, he performs at such a high-level on special teams. I wish there was enough room on the roster to keep for that reason, alone; but, he's probably going to be a very late cut in August, once again...

It comes down to if he or Thompson is better at ST TBH.

I don't see either of them making it.  Simply not enough roster spots.

Maybe. Torrey, Steve, Marlon, Jacoby, and Mellette are lock to make the roster. Maybe a suprise UDFA does too. Thats 5-6 Wrs. We shall see.

I'd say Campanaro is pretty near to a lock being that we thought enough of him to give up a future 6th for him.  Can't see us keeping more than 6.

Sorry forgot about him, add him to the that list. so we keep Torrey, Steve, Marlon, Jacoby, Mellette, and Campanero.

I wouldn't. James Hurst will be able to provide what Reid does. Reid is trash and easily replaceable.
