Web Page & Firefox - Any New Fixes

39 posts in this topic

I've been having trouble getting the home page to fully load and playing videos for months. I've even returned to Firefox Rev 28 and don't allow updates in hopes  of fixing the problem.

In reading the forums, there appeared to be a problem with AdBlock which was to be fixed.  I've disable AdBlock on my old PC & new laptop, but I still can't get anything to fully load or work.

Could some one contact me with a fix or solution.  I live in South Carolina and use your site to keep in touch with my favorite team.

I thank you in advance.

Have you tried another browser? You may need to flush your cache out, which is information stored on your computer about the site that might be out of date / bad data. On the home page, hold the SHIFT key and refresh the page. If that doesn't work you might need to flush everything out.

I use Firefox when I am not on my tablet and have no issues, but will mention this to the webmaster.

On my PC (fire fox) the main page will not fully load.

:(

What version of windows are you running and what version of FF are you running ? Try what Ravenatic20 said to do and when I get your Info I shall pass it on-- if it works let me know also, you may get a PM from admin 3, he's the webmaster.

I know I'm a Johnny come lately to this issue, but any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

First I use Firefox (29.0.1) and yes I loaded Firefox AdBlock awhile ago.  I Think, but not completely sure, I've uninstalled same.  I'm no computer geek by any means, but do get along.

But I cannot get the web site to completely load.  The scrolling center of page will  not load and i cannot run video from the site.

I'm a big fan of the Ravens and since I live in South Carolina, I try and visit Baltimore Ravens.com alot.  Its real fustrating not getting the view the latest info.  Again any fixes, suggestions you have to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I merged this with your original thread. It seems that a few Firefox users have issues. Please try the possible solutions listed above and let us know how it goes for you.

Here is what I do know-- admin 3 tried several times to replicate the problem to no avail, as did I. Invision, the company that does all the hosting and developing has been made aware and I'm not sure what they came up with. The Media Team is in meetings this week so I will remind Admin 3 on Monday.

They are working on it, they aka the webmaster et al can not duplicate the issue and he told me he tried different machines. He is on vacation until next week.

Maybe I should invite him over for dinner or something. Show him on my computer.

Would he make a good dinner guest ?

Does he like Mexican food ?  My wife makes an amazing burrito.

For what it's worth - I use Firefox 25.0.1 on Linux (CentOS 6), Firefox 29.0 on Linux (Fedora 20) and Firefox 30.0 on Windows 7. No issues whatsoever with either pages or videos. And I'm running ad blocker on all machines.

I am having the problem from internet explorer and firefox. Could there be a common setting or install i need to do to fix it?

Hopefully this can be resolved before the games start:)

I figured this out for my machine. I was using a modified hosts file to redirect ad pages. See http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

can one of the moderators ask the webmaster which lines in the HOSTS file prevent the ravens home page from loading?

Thanks!

Will do Tim thanks . Do you notice any specific ads that are running when this happens?
