Welcome to Baltimore....S Terrence Brooks

Great points. That is the genius behind this draft, that many people around here cannot see. We've added so much diversity to this defense that the possibilities of what we will throw at other team are endless. Brooks and Elam can truly do it all; So where will you see them lined up? Teams will not know when the season starts.

Adding Jernigan to the rotation creates another element of surprise. Canty/Ngata/Williams/Cody/KLM/Tyson ... That is as good as it gets on the D-Line. Factor in the LB rotation .... Trust me, Ozzie knows what he is doing with this. This defense is ready to shock the world (as Billick would say).

Like I said in another thread, assuming these picks pan out (no reason to think they won't), our DL will rival or possibly better the Bengals, and we already have an established secondary.

It sucks that we passed on a WR1/2 for Joe, but the thought of what we could do long-term on defence and on both sides of the ball this season does help ease that pain. ;)

Thats the thing. The long term outlook of what we have done on defense is extremely promising. That should allow us to focus on finding a stud WR next year. Steve Smith will be good enough for this year at the very least right?

every time I look at this clip and others on Brooks the kid is looking good!  Elam and Brooks roaming the backend of our defense?  Looks great on paper to me!  Let's hope they can both be on the field and lock it down on the backend of our defense!

If there is 1 player I would take from ravens past who would make this line more complete ( more inside pass rush) its trevor pryce. I see too many run stuffers on the inside and not enough 2 way players. Canty is pretty average these days.

Yes ball skills is really the only knock on TB. But the good sign was the more and more he got comfortable in the back end the better his ball skills became. He's a guy that's always around the football. He's so smart and sees the game so well and the scary thing is he's still getting better at the position.

I don't think TB will be eased into anything. By no later then the 3rd preseason game he'll be the starting FS and honestly I think he'll take on that role from day one. He will be a stud for this defense just watch. If he had been getting coached up as a FS longer the just 2 years, he'd be considered the top FS imo.

Yeah that's a good way to look at it. Imagine how much better he'll get being in the NFL with ravens coaches! Our coaches will make him a top center fielder in the nfl some day soon!

Remember we got Dumervil and Suggs covering out there and rushing the edge.

DUMERVIL | WILLIAMS | NGATA | SUGGS

WEBB | D. SMITH | MOSLEY | BROWN | J. SMITH

ELAM

BROOKS

First, I think we will be rotating Ngata, Jernigan and Williams pretty heavily.

Second, hooollyyy crap! If Brooks pans out, this defense is going to be top 2-3 once again!

No doubt. I definitely agree on that. I also think we'll be rotating a lot at the interior DL. I think we'll end up keeping seven DT this year. I'm really excited about this team. I think our defense could rival the Panthers abs I think Mosley will play a big part in that.

I don't think we have much choice but to keep 7, unless we want to put Urban on IR or something, but that delays his development. Ngata, Canty, Williams, Jernigan, KLM, Tyson, and Urban. Should be a fun year. Even though we didn't get much on offense, I'm excited about the youth on D, Brooks being my favorite.
